The Rapture and The Second Coming of Christ - are they the same event or are they different events? Is the second coming pre-tribulation or post-tribulation, pre-millennial or post-millennial? These questions and many more occupy an important place in the speculations of the philosophers and theologians. Yet God's own word commands us to know the signs of the times, to remain watchful and to be ready. Every book of the New Testament points us to the return of Christ and urges us to live in such a way as to be always ready for that return; (Matt.16:27); (Rev.1:7). This same lively expectation of Christ's return should mark the church of Jesus Christ today. The Church must live in the light of this expectation. The wonder of God's amazing revelation in scripture is that not only has He spoken directly of His plan for mankind, but He has also given us some beautiful pictures of His plan of redemption embedded within the precepts of the Mosaic Law. Understanding these prophetic pictures should not just amaze us, they should inform and reassure us that God's plan of redemption through Jesus Christ has unfolded perfectly and will continue to do so. Michael Taylor brings to the study of Biblical prophecy and eschatology a maturity that is rare among contemporary work on the subject. This book is a straightforward exploration of God's master plan as revealed in the Seven Feasts. As you study what the word of God says about these matters, it will stir in your heart an earnest longing for Christ's return as well as to live expectantly until He comes again.
God’s Master Plan is an overview of the Holy Bible—the greatest love story ever told! It is a summary of the unveiling of God’s revelation of Himself and His sovereign plan for the redemption and restoration of mankind, for the nation of Israel, for the Gentile nations of the world, and for his entire creation. As the story unfolds, we discover God’s answers to three questions with which many individuals wrestle: 1.) Where did I come from? 2.) Why am I here? 3.) Where am I going? More importantly, however, God tells us how we can experience eternal and abundant life!
A master plan exists for human life so amazing that it goes beyond human imagination. No human mind could give birth to it nor can any human ability bring it into being. The plan is intended for all people who will claim it for themselves. The plan is given to us by our Creator through Mosess tabernacle in approximately 1440 BC in a book called Exodus, and it is about to be fulfilled in the near future. The tabernacle is the blueprint for the plan through an amazing, voluminous number of symbols expressed in measurements, the furniture within it, metals and substances for construction, and colors and areas used within it. The historic people, Israel, were the scale model of the plan, a living clarification of the symbols on the stage of planet earth. In part five, youll find several chapters of totally unique revelations that give us a clearer understanding of some concepts that we have had difficulty in grasping, particularly in the chapter The Cell of Life. Lets put off the conventional, humanly preconceived, limiting blindness of human legalism and tradition and explore the concepts from a greater mind whose vision is unlimited. That vision is expressed in a being who has agape (sacrificial) love. The plan with its promises is available to everyone who really wants ita gift requiring no merit on the part of the receiver, only a hungry heart desiring truth and a willingness to follow its guidance. The purpose of Exodus: The Master Plan is to draw you into this plan so you may have all of its promise.
Everyday our faith is attacked and often watered down. Those who are zealous for the faith are few in number, or choose to stay silent. Many young people are leaving the faith of their childhood to chase the dream of this world. If we look carefully at the Bible, we find that God gives us hope through an ancient prayer. This prayer unlocks the door to forgiveness and God’s favor in our lives. It all goes back to a dedication of a Temple in Jerusalem. Most often, however, the key ingredient is left out – Facing Jerusalem. Drawing from the authors’ many years of working in Israel, and filled with personal stories, this book paints a beautiful picture of how all believers should care about, and recognize Jerusalem’s key role in the redemption of the world.
The main reason people don't act like Jesus is because they don't think like Jesus. Discover the seven core questions that Christians must be able to answer biblically in order to live a transformed life. The latest data from researcher George Barna’s polls across America shows that we are confused by the issues that confront us today. We find ourselves wrestling with what is right and wrong. Some of us cut ethical corners and don’t even know it. We often base our actions on what feels right or keeps people happy rather than on what is best or true. All because, Barna concludes, we lack an active, clear belief system based on solid, scriptural principles. Now more than ever, we need a way of life that brings us clarity in chaos, peace in the problems, and boldness in the bad times. We need a new way of seeing—a biblical perspective that guides our every thought and action. What is a biblical perspective on life? To put it simply, Barna says, it is a "way of dealing with the world so that we act like Jesus, twenty-four hours a day, because we think like Jesus. It’s like wearing a pair of eyeglasses that enable us to see things differently, to see things from God’s point of view, and to respond to these perceptions in the way He prescribes.” Think Like Jesus: Uncovers the seven core beliefs of Christianity necessary for developing a strong Christian worldview Provides a firm explanation of why Christians believe what we believe Includes detailed statistics and polls on where Americans agree with the Bible on key topics Exposes causes of concern in modern Christianity through the misalignment of key beliefs Would you like to simplify your life, shore up your moral foundations, and strengthen your Christian witness? Think Like Jesus can help you chart a path that will allow you to make a difference for eternity in your home, your job, your church, and your community.
The 1973 Yom Kippur War did not only have external implications on Israel, but also some dramatic internal implications, particularly with regards to the civil-military relations as well as the fields of psychology and political sociology. To this day, the consequences of this war are still prevalent in Israel, in terms of drafting security policies and the military doctrine. After the war, new identities were formed in the Israeli civil society, which began to function as active agents in shaping security policy. These players are not a unique Israeli case, yet their actions in Israel serve as a case study that illuminates their significant impact in other countries as well. This is due to the fact that the "Israeli Laboratory" is a liberal democratic society living with an ongoing conflict; it has a mandatory army that is sensitive to fluctuations in public opinion, culture and the media; and issues of national security and military conduct are always a top public concern. Consequently, this book examines the rise of five identities and agents that were formed after the 1973 War and highlights the effects they had on the formation of Israeli defense policy from then on. The book also clarifies the importance of exposure to these agents' activities, referring to the psycho-political social factors that may actually dictate a state's international policies. It therefore forms a study that connects sociology, political psychology, international relations, the field of culture studies and studies of strategy planning. Thus, the book is of interest to both the domestic-Israeli field of research and to the global scholarly discourse, particularly to academic disciplines engaged in civil-military relations (political sociology, political science).
"Enclosure marshals bold new and persuasive arguments about the ongoing dispossession of Palestinians. Revealing the Israel-Palestine landscape primarily as one of enclosure, geographer Gary Fields sheds fresh light on Israel's actions. He places those actions in historical context in a broad analysis of power and landscapes across the modern world. Examining the process of land-grabbing in early modern England, colonial North America, and contemporary Palestine, Enclosure shows how patterns of exclusion and privatization have emerged across time and geography. That the same moral, legal, and cartographic arguments were copied by enclosers of land in very different historical environments challenges Israel's current rationale as being uniquely beleaguered. It also helps readers in the United Kingdom and the United States understand the Israel-Palestine conflict in the context of their own, tortured histories"--Provided by publisher.
The Secret Place is one of the most in-depth, comprehensive studies ever written about the tabernacle. Lynn Liebengood has spent many years of her life studying, researching, and teaching about the tabernacle.
