Marine Corps Reference Publication MCRP 2-10A.2 (Formerly MCWP 2-6) Counterintelligence Marine Corps Doctrinal Publication (MCDP) 2, Intelligence, and Marine Corps Warfighting Publication (MCWP) 2-1, Intelligence Operations, provide the doctrine and higher order tactics, techniques, and procedures for intelligence operations. MCWP 2-14, Counterintelligence, complements and expands on this information by detailing doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures for the conduct of counterintelligence (CI) operations in support of the Marine airground task force (MAGTF). MCWP 2-14 describes aspects of CI operations across the spectrum of MAGTF, naval, joint and multinational operations, including doctrinal fundamentals, equipment, command and control, communications and information systems support, planning, execution, security, and training. MCWP 2-14 provides the information needed by Marines to understand, plan, and execute CI operations in support of the MAGTF across the spectrum of conflict.
This publication describes the theory and philosophy of military planning as practiced by the U.S. Marine Corps. The intent is to describe how we can prepare effectively for future action when the future is uncertain and unpredictable. In so doing, this publication provides all Marines a conceptual framework for planning in peace, in crisis, or in war. This approach to planning is based on our common understanding of the nature of war and on our warfighting philosophy of maneuver warfare as described in Marine Corps Doctrinal Publication (MCDP) 1, Warfighting.

The purpose of Marine Corps Warfighting Publication MCRP 2-10A.6, Ground Reconnaissance Operations, is to establish doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures for Marine Corps ground reconnaissance. This publication is intended for officers and enlisted personnel who are involved with the direction, planning, and execution of ground reconnaissance missions. It is also designed to assist commanders and staffs of all Marine air-ground task force (MAGTF) units with integrating ground reconnaissance into all other planning and operations. Relevant to the employment of ground reconnaissance at all echelons of command from the infantry battalion to the Marine expeditionary force, MCRP 2-10A.6 defines the organization, roles, operational requirements, mission tasks, battlefield functions, and command and control relationships of reconnaissance assets within the MAGTF. Although this publication will address some tactics, techniques, and procedures, it is primarily intended to focus on command, control, and planning for reconnaissance operations.

This publication details doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures for conducting geospatial intelligence and supporting Marine air-ground task force geospatial information and intelligence operations. This publication describes aspects of geospatial intelligence operations, including doctrinal fundamentals, command and control, communications and information systems support, planning, execution, equipment security, and training. This publication provides information that Marines require to understand, plan, and execute geospatial intelligence operations in support of the Marine air-ground task force and provides support information to intelligence personnel who are responsible for planning and executing geospatial intelligence operations.
Marine Corps Reference Publication MCRP 2-10B.5 (Formerly MCWP 2-21) Imagery Intelligence 2 May 2016 describes all aspects of imagery intelligence (IMINT), including basic doctrine, command and control relationships, communications and information systems, planning and execution, equipment, security, and training. It provides the fundamental information Marines need to understand, plan, and execute IMINT operations in support of the operating forces. This publication supersedes MCWP 2-21, Imagery Intelligence, dated 6 September 2002, (formerly MCWP 2-15.4, modified to current short title by erratum dated 13 July 2004).

Personnel who provide support to remote sensor operations or who utilize the reporting from these operations should also read this publication. MCWP 2-2.3 describes aspects of remote sensor operations including doctrinal fundamentals, equipment, command and control, planning, execution, logistics, and training. MCWP 2-2.3 provides the information needed by Marines to understand, plan, and execute remote sensor operations in support of the MAGTF.

This publication is intended for any Marine involved in the planning and execution of electronic warfare operations. MCWP 3-40.5 supersedes Fleet Marine Force Manual (FMFM) 7-12, Electronic Warfare, dated 20 May 1991.
