Eventide embraces the moment of transition, the blurry in-between that defines our best and worst moments as people. Assuming multiple perspectives, this collection of poetry simply tries to capture the momentary angle at hand, be it disgust, hope, or primal arousal. Eventide delivers a kaleidoscopic slant that favors only the many shapes and shades that give life its basic form...understanding that the details are prone to interpretation. Eventide is the product of over ten years of writing; it illustrates the vast combination of attitudes and points of view that are an inherent part of our understanding of the world and ourselves.
"The funny, brash, and vulnerable memoir from the star of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City bravely explores her leaving the Mormon Church and her journey to success in business, television, and single motherhood. Straight off the slopes and into the spotlight, Heather Gay is known to dish God's honest truth. Whether as a businesswoman, mother, or television personality, Heather is unafraid to blaze a new trail, even if it means losing family, friends, and even her church. A born and bred Mormon, Heather did everything that was expected of her and then some. From an eighteen-month mission to attending Brigham Young University and marrying into church royalty, Heather was the ultimate good Mormon. But her seemingly perfect life was upended when her husband unexpectedly filed for divorce and she suddenly found herself struggling to find healing after heartbreak and accomplishment after abandonment. Now, with her signature witty, compassionate, and charming voice, Heather recounts her difficult but rewarding experiences navigating life post-divorce and post-Mormonism. She explores the challenges of raising strong women despite feeling broken and teases out the complicated relationship between duty to self and duty to God. An honest, witty, and ultimately healing memoir, Bad Mormon is an unputdownable read in the vein of Unveiling Grace, What Remains, and One Day You'll Thank Me"--
This is the last volume of the IPMD series. It aims, in a multi-disciplinary approach, at reviewing and discussing recent advances and achievements in the practice of crop protection and integrated pest and disease management. This last effort deals with management of arthropods, and is organized with a first section on biological control in citrus orchards, a second one on advanced and integrated technologies for insect pest management and a last section, dealing with mites and their biological control. A wide and exaustive literature already covers several aspects of chemical or biological control of insects and mites, but there is still a need for a more holistic vision of management, accounting for different problems and solutions, as they are applied or developed, in different regions and cropping systems, worldwide. In this series we attempted to fill this gap, providing an informative coverage for a broad range of agricultural systems and situations.
In her third book, Janie focuses on creating buffet salads for large & small parties, along with recipes for sandwiches and wraps for as few as 2 people or a whole bunch. Her twist? Each type of recipe can be made into one of the others—salads into sandwiches, and sandwiches into wraps, etc. She even includes some familiar vinaigrette and dressing recipes from her cookbooks Simply Vinaigrettes and Janie's Simply Entrée Salads for Two. Her recipes promote the use of fresh and organic ingredients where possible to help you Live Well, Eat Well. With her wonderful charm and wit, Janie will inspire you to begin creating and cooking wonderful new salads, sandwiches, and wraps.
