​Privacy is a burden for most organizations, the more complex and wider an organization is, the harder to manage and enforce privacy is. GDPR and other regulations on privacy impose strict constraints that must be coherently enforced, considering also privacy needs of organization and their users. Furthermore, organizations should allow their users to express their privacy needs easily, even when the process that manages users' data is complex and involves multiple organizations. Many research work consider the problem using simplistic examples, with solutions proposed that never actually touch pragmatic problems of real, large organizations, with thousands of users and terabytes of personal and sensitive data. This book faces the privacy management problem targeting actual large organizations, such as public administrations, including stakeholders in the process of definition of the solution and evaluating the results with its actual integration in four large organizations. This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post conference proceedings of the 5th IFIP WG 9.2, 9.6/11.7, 11.4, 11.6/PrimeLife International Summer School, held in Nice, France, in September 2009. The 25 revised papers were carefully selected from numerous submissions during two rounds of reviewing. They are organized in topical sections on lifelong privacy, privacy for social network sites and collaborative systems, privacy for e-government applications, privacy and identity management for e-health and ambient assisted living applications, anonymisation and privacy-enhancing technologies, identity management and multilateral security, and usability, awareness and transparency tools.
This book contains selected papers presented at the 15th IFIP WG 9.2, 9.6/11.7, 11.6/SIG 9.2.2 International Summer School on Privacy and Identity Management, held in Maribor, Slovenia, in September 2020.* The 13 full papers included in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 21 submissions. As in previous years, one of the goals of the IFIP Summer School was to encourage the publication of thorough research papers by students and emerging scholars.
