Now, it would seem to the speaker, that it is better policy, as stated by the Interstate Commerce Commission, that this so-called water competition would not only be met in fair part from the points threatened in the east by water competition, but in view of the fact that the haul from western producing points is from a thousand to miles nearer, it would be preferable to meet in part at least that competition from the western markets.
