Excerpt from Literary Annuals and Gift-Books: A Bibliography With a Descriptive Introduction In the July, 1902, issue of the Bulletin of the New York Public Library is printed a list of that library's literary annuals, a large collection of these having been acquired by gift at about that time. This list contains one hundred and eighty-five titles, and over four hundred volumes. It makes note of the curious fact that certain American gifts had different titles, but the same contents. But the notes on this subject there printed are far from exhaustive, and as far as the writer knows, no study of these spurious and duplicate issues has hitherto been made. It is one of the most interesting phases of the subject in hand. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
