Thomas Pier lived at Lyme, Connecticut, ca. 1670-1700. He was the father of five children born at Lyme, 1678-1689. His son, Thomas Pier (1689-1778), and his first wife, Dorothy, had two daughters, 1719-1722. He and his second wife, Margaret, had ten children, 1727-174_, at least some born at Litchfield, Connecticut, and some at Sheffield, Massachusetts. He died at Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Known descendants lived in Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, and throughout the United States. Some descendants spelled their name Pierre.
