Jake and Jil-a-ma-joo’s Adventure is both an educational and entertaining story. Jake and his dog “Jilly” are a loyal pair, always together, playing, having fun, and taking long walks in the neighborhood. Watch what happens when they find a diamond bracelet sparkling in the grass. The book teaches a good lesson that when you do the right thing, good luck often comes back to you. Also, helping people makes us feel so happy and it is the best feeling in the world! The author was our mother, Melina, who passed away in 2020. She was a single mother of 3 children and a proud nana to 5 grandchildren. Mom was an amazing woman, so loving, kind and generous. She overcame many challenges with a strong will and positive attitude. Her faith and devotion to God and family came first and she always did her part to help others. Mom believed if you work hard and keep faith, then all things are possible. She had a passion for writing and loved interacting with children. She saw each child as a special gift from God, to be loved and nurtured. She wrote this story many years ago and always dreamed of having it published. “My mom and I shared a special mother-daughter bond, as well as a deep friendship. We were always a team and I’m so proud and grateful to help publish her book and fulfill her dream. Children brought such joy to mom and now it is her turn to shine and share her story. I’m honored to call her mom, friend, hero and angel. Her loving spirit lives on through all of us.” - Your Loving Daughter, Debra
In an original and compelling examination of traditional mathematics, this comprehensive study of the anonymous Manual of Mongolian Astrology and Divination (published by A. Mostaert in 1969) takes on the fundamental problem of the post-enlightenment categorization of knowledge, in particular the inherently problematic realms of religion and science, as well as their subsets, medicine, ritual, and magic. In the process of elucidating the rhetoric and logic shaping this manual the author reveals not only the intertwined intellectual history of Eurasia from Greece to China but also dismantles many of the discourses that have shaped its modern interpretations.

This book presents the main tools for aggregation of information given by several members of a group or expressed in multiple criteria, and for fusion of data provided by several sources. It focuses on the case where the availability knowledge is imperfect, which means that uncertainty and/or imprecision must be taken into account. The book contains both theoretical and applied studies of aggregation and fusion methods in the main frameworks: probability theory, evidence theory, fuzzy set and possibility theory. The latter is more developed because it allows to manage both imprecise and uncertain knowledge. Applications to decision-making, image processing, control and classification are described.
