People have honest doubts and questions about God that deserve solid answers. How do we explain the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way we can all understand? Ray Pritchard has updated this best-selling presentation of the gospel in a clear, straightforward way using simple language and clear Scripture references. An Anchor for the Soul is written with doubters, seekers, and skeptics in mind. In a clear, straightforward presentation, he answers questions such as: What is God like? How can I know Him? Who is Jesus and what did He do? What does it mean to be a Christian? Through stories and illustrations, Pastor Pritchard very personally, yet gently, challenges his readers with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Most of us are regular people who have good days and bad days. Our lives are radically ordinary and unexciting. That means they're the kind of lives God gets excited about. While the world worships beauty and power and wealth, God hides his glory in the simple, the mundane, the foolish, working in unawesome people, things, and places. In our day of celebrity worship and online posturing, this is a refreshing, even transformative way of understanding God and our place in his creation. It urges us to treasure a life of simplicity, to love those whom the world passes by, to work for God's glory rather than our own. And it demonstrates that God has always been the Lord of the cross--a Savior who hides his grace in unattractive, inglorious places.Your God Is Too Glorious reminds readers that while a quiet life may look unimpressive to the world, it's the regular, everyday people that God tends to use to do his most important work.
Beyond sound equipment and music charts, eleven noted worship leaders from around the United States write about the ministerial part of their work as it relates to the gospel, mission, disciple-making, liturgy, the Trinity, justice, creativity, family, and more.
This compelling, story-driven message shows how those who persist through the burnout and valleys of the “middle” will find that miracles await them on the other side. If you've ever been on a long trip with small children, you've no doubt heard, "Are we there yet?" Maybe you've felt that same way as you have journeyed with God. It’s the midway point where most of us feel impatient and frustrated. It's also where our hidden doubts find their voice. Where most beginnings start with energy and expectation for all that is ahead, and endings bring the joy of completion as you arrive at your desired destination, the middle is different. This midpoint can too quickly become a low point, as energy is lacking and enthusiasm wanes. Yet how well you handle the middle reveals what is in the “middle” of you. The disciples found—in the middle of a lake—a revelation of Jesus that they had never seen on the shore. In the middle is where new navigational skills are found. It's also where some of the most significant lessons are learned. In Miracle in the Middle, you’ll learn how to: Candidly face the realities of life’s frustrations and respond to them biblically Persist in your efforts in your marriage, family, career, and ministry Navigate burnout during life’s valleys Gain eternal perspective on temporary situations Find strength in the struggle, passion to persist, wisdom in weariness, and joy for the journey.
Anchored in Christ: The Solid Rock in the Storms of Life opens the Scriptures in a way that draws you into the presence of God, anchors you in your relationship with Jesus Christ, increases your knowledge of His Word and ways, all of which result in a stance of security and peace in life and eternity.
“If you remain in me, and I in you, you will bear much fruit.” John 15:5 While on earth, Jesus frequently encouraged His followers to trust and draw near to Him. Jesus extends that same invitation to us today, and there is nothing more important than knowing Jesus and being known by Him. When you are close to God, you can know better how to live. Anchored in Jesus explores what it means to have a living relationship with Christ—and how that is the key to growing strong as a believer. As you explore who Jesus is and what He has done for you, the Lord will work in your life so that you reflect His character more and more. You “bear much fruit” when you live closely to Jesus and exhibit the same kind of love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, and self-control He modeled. Anchor yourself in Jesus…and let Him transform you.

A book which will inspire the reader to live a life of closer communion with God and provoke within him or her a greater desire to live according to His will and ways." - REBEKAH ODUTOLA (NGO Manager)Have you been feeling oppressed by the burdens of this world? Have you been weighed down by so many problems that you have wished for a divine relief from the bone crushing weight of your sorrows? In this book, you will learn how to gain your freedom from all the oppression that has plagued you, through the help of Christ. God's assurance can be seen in Hebrews 6:19-20; "This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek." You would also learn that to achieve your dreams, you must follow them. And not by consuming your thoughts with ways of getting extremely wealthy, but strategically thinking about doing something you really want to do. If you believe the night is over, I charge you to be expectant of the morning glory. I come from a famous family but was brought up in abject poverty. From childhood, I knew it wasn't the kind of life I should be living. I believed there must have been an error somewhere. I knew the ladder I was to climb was not going to be an easy feat, but I was determined. I had to work really hard to get to the point where I am now. At some point, in an attempt to fortify my spirit, I embarked on a 40-day fast, and I could go as long as 7 days without food. But all in all, I didn't do it all alone. Like a blanket, cloaking me in its warmth, someone was watching over me. I knew, throughout my moments of suffering, that the ladder of success had to be set upon something solid before you could begin your ascent. That someone was Jesus. He was and still is, my anchor. That's why you need to make Jesus your anchor; to assure you that you are anchored to something firm even if it is unseen. We are anchored upward, towards heaven and not stuck to the ground; and we are anchored to move on, not to stand still! This hope will see us into the very presence of God. Hope is the opposite of the discouragement we (Christians) often battle against. We are assured of this access into the presence of God because Jesus has entered as a forerunner. Jesus has entered into the Father's presence so that His people can follow Him there. A forerunner goes forward, knowing that others are going to follow! Jesus chose unlearned, unlettered men, but He taught them. You don't need fancy degrees or a formal education to start out as an inventor or to become successful in life, but you must enrol yourself in the study of thought. You must keep your mind busy by reading God's word and establishing a relationship with Him. Five people in the bible; Moses (Exodus 3:1-15), David (1 Samuel 17:20-51), Gideon (Judges 7:4-7), Matthew (Matthew 9:9), and Paul (Acts 9:1-9, were called while already at work. God's call usually comes while we are busy. HEAVEN HELPS THOSE WHO ARE READY. Furthermore, there is a blunder, usually overlooked, that can cause you to miss your appointed time. This error can be found in Ecclesiastes 10:5-7.
