(12) is a brief character reference of Andrew Johnson in the form of a letter written after the 1865 inauguration when was sworn in as Vice President. He was said to be intoxicated during the ceremony. (17) contain a reply from Mr. Wemyss. Also, 2 J. H. Hackett autographs and 1 signed bank check of money received from [Benedict] De Bar. Some items undated.
