We report on an improved measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa CP-violating phase? through a Dalitz plot analysis of neutral D meson decays to K{sub s}°??− and K{sub s}°K+K− produced in the processes B{sup {-+}} → DK{sup {-+}}, B{sup {-+}} → D* K{sup {-+}} with D* → D?°, D?, and B{sup {-+}} → DK*{sup {-+}} with K8{sup {-+}} → K{sub S}°?{sup {-+}}. Using a sample of 383 million B{bar B} pairs collected by the BABAR detector, we measure? = (76 ± 22 ± 5± 5){sup o} (mod 180{sup o}), where the first error is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third reflects the uncertainty on the description of the Dalitz plot distributions. The corresponding two standard deviation region is 29{sup o}
We report on the measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa angle? through a Dalitz analysis of neutral D decays to K-short?−? in the processes B{sup {minus_plus}} → D(*)K{sup {minus_plus}} and B{sup {minus_plus}} → DK*{sup {minus_plus}}, D* → D?°, D?, with the BaBar detector at the SLAC PEP-II e+e− asymmetric-energy collider.
We present a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa CP-violating phase {gamma} with a Dalitz plot analysis of neutral D-meson decays to the K{sub S}{sup 0} {pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup +} final state from B{sup {-+}} {yields} D{sup (*)}K{sup {-+}} and B{sup {-+}} {yields} DK*{sup {-+}} decays, using a sample of 227 million B{bar B} pairs collected by the BABAR detector. We measure {gamma} = (67 {+-} 28 {+-} 13 {+-} 11){sup o}, where the first error is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third reflects the Dalitz model uncertainty. This result suffers from a two-fold ambiguity. The contribution to the Dalitz model uncertainty due to the description of the {pi}{pi} S-wave in D{sup 0} {yields} K{sub S}{sup 0}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup +}, evaluated using a K-matrix formalism, is found to be 3{sup o}.
The authors present a measurement of the angle? of the Unitarity Triangle with a Dalitz analysis of neutral D decays to K{sub S}??− from the processes B° → {bar D}°(D°)K*° ({bar B}° → D°({bar D}°){bar K}*°) with K*° → K+?− ({bar K}*° → K−?+). Using a sample of 371 x 106 B{bar B} pairs collected with the BABAR detector at PEP II, they measure the angle? as a function of r{sub S}, the magnitude of the average ratio between b → u and b → c amplitudes. Combining this result with the available information on r{sub S}, they obtain? = (162 ± 56){sup o} or (342 ± 56){sup o} and r{sub S}
We report on a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa CP-violating phase? through a Dalitz analysis of neutral D decays to K{sub s}°?−? in the processes B{sup {-+}} → D{sup (*)} K{sup {-+}}, D* → D?°, D?
We report on the measurement of the CKM angle [gamma] in B{sup {+-}} → DK{sup {+-}} decays with the BABAR detector. A general overview of different methods of analysis and a critical discussion of the most sensitive methods are presented here.
We perform a Dalitz plot analysis of about 100,000 D{sub s}+ decays to K+K−?+ and measure the complex amplitudes of the intermediate resonances which contribute to this decay mode. We also measure the relative branching fractions of D{sub s}+ → K+K+?− and D{sub s}+ → K+K+K−. For this analysis we use a 384 fb−1 data sample, recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e− collider running at center-of-mass energies near 10.58 GeV.
We present for the first time a measurement of the weak phase 2[beta] + [gamma] obtained from a time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis of B° → D{sup {-+}}K°[pi]{sup ±} decays. Using a sample of approximately 347 x 106 B{bar B} pairs collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy storage rings, we obtain 2[beta] + [gamma] = (83 ± 53 ± 20)° and (263 ± 53 {+-} 20){sup o} assuming the ratio r of the b → u and b → c decay amplitudes to be 0.3. The magnitudes and phases for the resonances associated with the b → c transitions are also extracted from the fit.
