This book entitled ICSE History & Civics for Class X is a revised edition based on the latest syllabus prescribed by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination for the students of Class X appearing in the ICSE examinations. This book is divided into two parts – Section A and Section B. Section A deals with the Civics portion of the syllabus and Section B with the History portion of the syllabus. Section B is further divided into two parts. The first part deals with the Indian National Movement (1857 – 1947) and the second part is about the Contemporary World. Salient features of the book are : Necessary changes have been made in both the sections, according to the latest syllabus and current events. Syllabus and Main Topics for Study at the beginning of each chapter prepare the students for what they will learn in the chapter.
