The Hull Moving Average(HMA) is not the same as the traditional technical indicators such as the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) and the Simple Moving Average (SMA) because it involves the weighted moving average (WMA) in its calculation. This means that it gives a higher weight to recent price data and a lower weight to previous price data. Thus, it makes recent company developments weigh more. Developed by Alan Hull in 2005, this indicator makes use of weighted moving averages to prioritize more recent values and greatly reduce lag. The resulting average is more responsive and well-suited for identifying entry points. The Hull Moving Average (HMA) overlay is designed to minimize the lag of a traditional moving average while retaining the smoothness of the moving average line. Short-term traders can look for turning points in the average to identify entry/exit points. Longer-term HMAs can be used to identify or confirm the overall trend. As with all technical indicators, traders should use the HMA in conjunction with other indicators and analysis techniques. The Qualitative Quantitative Estimation (QQE) indicator works like a smoother version of the popular Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator. QQE expands on RSI by adding two volatility based trailing stop lines. These trailing stop lines are composed of a fast and a slow moving Average True Range (ATR). There are many indicators for many purposes. Some of them are complex and some are comparatively easy to handle. The QQE indicator is a really useful analytical tool and one of the most accurate indicators. It offers numerous strategies for using the buy and sell signals. Essentially, it can help detect trend reversal and enter the trade at the most optimal positions. There are a lot of pre-education and pre-trading decisions you will need to make before you spend any money on trading or capitalizing an account to trade live with as a brand new self-directed trader. The strategy is a combination of several tools that: * ensures you will always be aligned with the trend of the broader market * enters positions at specific points and with reasonable confirmation * manages existing positions with a trailing stop loss * defends existing positions if the trend of the broader market reverses * outlines how much to invest in each position. “We're going to raise traders just like they raise turtles in Singapore.” So trading guru Richard Dennis reportedly said to his long-time friend William Eckhardt nearly 25 years ago. What started as a bet about whether great traders were born or made became a legendary trading experiment that, until now, has never been told in its entirety. Way of the Turtle reveals, for the first time, the reasons for the success of the secretive trading system used by the group known as the “Turtles.” Top-earningTurtle Curtis Faith lays bare the entire experiment, explaining how it was possible for Dennis and Eckhardt to recruit 23 ordinary people from all walks of life and train them to be extraordinary traders in just two weeks. Only nineteen years old at the time-the youngest Turtle by far-Faith traded the largest account, making more than $30 million in just over four years. He takes you behind the scenes of the Turtle selection process and behind closed doors where the Turtles learned the lucrative trading strategies that enabled them to earn an average return of over 80 percent per year and profits of more than $100 million. You'll discover How the Turtles made money-the principles that guided their trading and the step-by-step methods they followed Why, even though they used the same approach, some Turtles were more successful than others How to look beyond the rules as the Turtles implemented them to find core strategies that work for any tradable market How to apply the Turtle Way to your own trades-and in your own life Ways to diversify your trading and limit your exposure to risk Offering his unique perspective on the experience, Faith explains why the Turtle Way works in modern markets, and shares hard-earned wisdom on taking risks, choosing your own path, and learning from your mistakes.

What is this book all about? This book is a modest attempt at presenting a more modern version of technical analysis based on objective measures rather than subjective ones. A sizeable chunk of this beautiful type of analysis revolves around trend-following technical indicators which is what this book covers. I believe it is time to be creative with indicators. The following chapters present trend-following indicators and how to code/use them. The code included in the book is available in the GitHub repository. A QR code link will be provided in the book. What am I going to gain? You will gain exposure to many new indicators and strategies that will change the way you think about trading, and you will find yourself busy experimenting and choosing the strategy that suits you the best. How is it organized? The order of the chapter is not very important, although reading the introductory Python chapter is helpful. The book is divided into four parts: Part 1 deals with different types of moving averages, Part 2 deals with trend-following indicators, Part3 deals with market regime detection techniques, and finally, Part 4 will present many different trend-following technical strategies. What level of knowledge do I need to follow this book? Although a basic or a good understanding of trading and coding is considered very helpful, it is not necessary. At the beginning of the book, I have included a chapter that deals with some Python concepts, but this book is not about Python.
Classic work describing 6 proprietary systems developed by a pioneer in technical analysis. The prima ones still used are RSI, Directional Movement, and parabolics.
