Whether repairing existing components, fabricating new ones, building a race car, or restoring a classic, this is the one book to guide the reader through each critical stage.
The book is a mixutre of theory and how-to. The theoretical parts will help you decide what types of goods are appropriate for composite construction, and how to design them; the how-to sections are sufficiently detailed that even a novice should be able to successfully fabricate those goods.
This thesis presents the fabrication of automotive part using carbon fiber. In this modern era, carbon fiber became high demand in the market. This is because sports like racing such as sport car racing, motorcycle racing and bicycle racing become famous. So carbon fiber became popular among the racer because carbon fiber is strong, light at once can reduce the part of automotive and increase the speed of vehicle. Beside carbon fiber do not rust and the out layer is interesting. The project has to begin with choosing 4 automotive parts. The selected parts are side mirror, box, motor cycle body part and oil tank cover. These parts consist of different shape which is flat, curve and flat curve. Based on that, the difficulty of fabricate this project can be determined. These parts have designed using SolidWork engineering drawing software for the structural threedimensional solid modeling. All the step and procedure of fabricate the glass fiber and carbon fiber was listed in this thesis. The problem faced during making this project and the problem solving also have in this thesis. Lastly, for making the product better and perfect the recommendation for the future work was been discussed in this thesis.
Focuses on the disassembly, inspection and step-by-step rebuild of the most popular high-performance differentials. Axles and differentials are not incredibly complex components, but there are some specific steps to follow for rebuilding, upgrading, and setting them up properly, and this book demystifies the process and explains it in detail.
Step-by-step instructions cover everything from safety precautions to materials selection to the final lamination process. Practice exercises offer hands-on experience for working with glass cloth, mat, core materials, and resins. Information is provided on molding, structural concepts, and the caring for cured fiberglass. There is even a list of suppliers, repair techniques for materials other than fiberglass, and a complete section on covering wood with fiberglass. Book jacket.
Nearly every page is allocated to photos - that lead the reader through detailed how-to sequences. From making the mold, to cutting fabric, creating a vacuum. Nine sequences total show how to make your own light and strong parts.
How to Build Ford Restomod Street Machines shows you how to modify your vintage Ford to accelerate, stop, corner, and ride as good as - if not better than - Detroit's best new high-performance cars. Don't subject your classic Ford to a life of garage time, trailer rides, outdated factory-original performance, and the occasional Sunday cruise - build it to run hard. Author Tony Huntimer uses over 300 photos to show you how to upgrade your engine, drivetrain, chassis, suspension, body, and interior to make your ride a stand-out performer using factory and aftermarket parts. He even covers many Ford-specific upgrades, including the Granada brake swap and the popular Shelby Mod.
While most books on composites approach the subject from a very technical standpoint, Beginning Composites presents practical, hands-on information about these versatile materials. From explanations of what a composite is, to demonstrations on how to actually utilize them in various projects, this book provides a simple, concise perspective on molding and finishing techniques to empower even the most apprehensive beginner. Topics include: What is a composite, why use composites, general composite types and where composites are typically used. Composite Materials Fabrication Handbook includes shop set up, design and a number of hands-on start-to-finish projects documented with abundant photographs. Surface sanding and finishing makes up an entire chapter, ensuring that the parts you manufacture are not only light and extremely strong, but also good looking as well.
This is a comprehensive guide to modifying the 1991 – 2006 Nissan Sentra, NX, and 200sx and Infiniti G20 for street and racing performance. It includes sections on models and engines, engine theory, bolt-on performance components, cylinder heads and bottom end modifications, forced induction, engine swaps, brakes, suspension, wheels and tires, cosmetic and aerodynamics, and safety.
