Hopes to visit some of his settlements to meet with the people, and has sent out men to meet with settlers in other towns, in effort to peaceably settle all issues regarding his lands. Also addressed to Robert Houston and John Gleason.
Description of Knox's land settlement program, he defends and explains his legal and almost moral right to his Maine Lands. Reminds Ulmer of the surveyors who were attacked on land that he and his family has legally owned since 1629. Knox insists he has been good to the settlers of the Waldo patent.

Ulmer acknowledges and swears he received [Dollar sign]443.50 from Henry Knox for his and his brother's (Phillip Ulmer) services to Knox regarding the settlers in Maine. Note on second page states Ulmer received another [Dollar sign]295.24 from Knox. Date was taken from docket.
