My desire is that when people read this book, it will shed some light on how their life can be changed in a way that will bring about joy, peace, and happiness, as well as health and wholeness as it is continuing to do so for me. Included in this book is a poem titled "A Healing Heart." It highlights how letting go of the past and past pain can bring about healing in one's life. It is always in the best interest of a person to always remember to forgive others, whether it's family, friends, or just people who are involved in your everyday life. I hope that people, after reading this book, will understand what needs to be done to live a happy and prosperous life.
Emotions at work: irrational, or invaluable? For centuries we have divided mind and body, valuing reason over emotion. But new research is fundamentally changing our understanding about how our brains and bodies work. What might be possible when we leverage both our reason AND emotion? Explore the vital link between emotions and organizational performance. Knowing more about our body and brain and how we are interconnected and interrelated can positively impact people, performance and profit. Leadership coach and experienced finance director Susan Ní Chríodáin sits at the nexus of business and emotion and reveals how to reintroduce humanity into the workplace, for improved engagement and fulfillment, benefiting both individuals and organizations.
I'm Tyler Lindsey, and until recently, I had an okay apartment, an okay girlfriend, and an okay job as a bellboy at a respectable Boston hotel. Then rock star Chris Raiden died right before I brought his room service -- stiffing me on the tip, by the way -- and my life went to hell. My fifteen minutes of fame was more like five seconds, and my girlfriend left me in disgust. But even worse -- Chris is haunting me. Not the room where he died, like a normal ghost. No, somehow he's stuck to me and is insisting on taking care of a bunch of unfinished business in California. So now I have to traipse across the country with the world's most narcissistic ghost. But . . . I keep having these weird thoughts. Thoughts about how much I like the way he makes me laugh. Thoughts where I kind of want to kiss the emo-narcissist, even though he's a ghost and an asshole and I can't touch him anyway. And even if I could, what will happen when he finishes his business and nothing's keeping him here anymore?
Why do so many people have to suffer? Why doesn’t my spouse love me? Why can’t I get a job? Why can’t we all just get along? Why doesn’t God seem to care what happens to me? It is human nature to have a multitude of questions swirling around in your mind. Sometimes you wonder if asking these questions about God, the Bible, and our world show signs of unbelief or doubt. Or maybe you wonder if there is any point in asking questions of God at all. 365 Questions for a Woman’s Soul asks the deep questions for which our souls long for answers. Some of these questions can be clearly answered from the pages of Scripture. Other questions do not have tidy answers, but by wrestling with them in relationship with God’s Word, we can gain perspective, wisdom, and a better understanding of who God is and why he allows events to unfold as they do.
