"In July 1997, OPI contracted with Dodge Data Systems, Inc. of Helena to conduct a survey of Montana school administrators and lead health educators to fulfill the requirements of the DASH program and to gather information regarding the status of HIV education in Montana. . . . This report discusses 'best practice' indicators of what makes a health enhancement program effective. Health enhancement, the term used by the Montana School Accreditation Standards and Procedures, is synonymous with comprehensive school health education; the terms are used interchangeably in this report. The indicators discussed in this report can guide health enhancement program development toward achieving best practice" (page 2).
