The Government will shortly be tabling revised Standing Orders to change the terms of reference of the Regulatory Reform Committee and the Parliamentary procedures for scrutinising relevant draft Orders. This report, which includes the Government response to a previous report, records that although agreement has been reached on most issues there are still two areas of contention. The first concerns provision to facilitate debates and the second is about the overturning of Committee opposition to a draft Order.
