This loving, honest, and heartfelt memoir is a compelling retelling of Dr. Morales' courtship and marriage with the woman in his life. Because this memoir is so honest and deeply narrated, it is far more interesting than too-often sanitized memoirs of lives lived. Dr. Morales-Pita makes us feel what real love means. Citing his own words “to love and to be loved is a big human achievement.” “In this same world full of wars, miseries, terrorist threats, hatred, and conflict, there is also tenderness. We have to discover this wonderful feeling in ourselves, our families, and our friends and to enjoy it as long as there is life. It would be a good way to comfort us in times of grief.” This book pursues the objective of improving couples' love relationships by means of learning, assimilating and implementing Gladys Morales' ways of living an exemplary love relationship for more than forty years under stressful economic, political, and social environments. This is a deserved tribute to the woman who inspired this book. The author — through his narrative — transcends an example of a man, who honestly reveals his thoughts, feelings, and total transformation under the influence of his extraordinary wife.
May Empathy Lead to Sense of Purpose Through Tenacity? By: Antonio E. Morales-Pita, PhD In the introduction, this author analyzes and summarizes three successful authors about empathy and sense of purpose, such as Keep Sharp Build a Better Brain at Any Age by Sanjay Gupta, The Purpose of Driven Life, which was a best seller, written by Rick Warren, and The Art of Empathy by Karla McLaren. This book is one of the few, or maybe the first one, in dealing with the triple interaction of empathy, sense of purpose and tenacity. Can empathy, sense of purpose, and tenacity be inherited? Why is it impossible to be defeated by procrastination if the individual possesses the trio empathy, sense of purpose and tenacity? Which one of them is the most effective in overcoming procrastination? Dr. Morales analyzes the consequence of being empathetic from the executor’s and the recipient’s standpoints. Is it possible to be simultaneously empathetic but neither tenacious nor lacking sense of purpose? Which was the most convincing proof of Gladys Morales’ immense empathy? Can the combination of the trio “empathy-sense of purpose-tenacity” be powerful enough to allow a person not to grieve after his/her most loved one’s decease?

What is one of the author’s important ways to achieve a proactive lifestyle and consequently defeating procrastination? How does he stand up after a fall or even the menace or threat of achieving goals, as well as believing in himself? Read to find out.
About the Book The titles of the chapters speak by themselves about the role of passion in the battle “tenacity- procrastination”, the relationship “tenacity - patience, and their roles in decision making decisions, as well as the difference between feeling or getting older, and in the incompatibility between tenacity and procrastination. Deeply meditating on the common factors in successful individuals, namely: (1) These persons must have the talent of tenacity to reach their goals. (2) They must be completely committed to the pursued objectives. (3) The systematic repetition of attempts is indispensable while working towards their goals. (4) These exercises are conceived to be long range, neither short nor intermediate. (5) There must exist the very strong ineluctable desire and need to reach their goals. About the Author Antonio E. Can Love and Talents Survive Opposite Political and Economic Environments? This author believes that it is important to narrate how he has been affected by living under opposing political and economic systems. This book shows how the command economy differs from the market economy through the example of a highly qualified Cuban economist and scholar who has lived for decades in developing and developed market economy and command economy countries. Another very important and interesting aspect of this book is that it establishes the talents of this man’s two big loves’ –– his mother and his second wife –– as important and influential contributors in developing his behavior in the politico-socio-economic environment in which his life has so far taken place. This book is divided into four sections: CHAPTER I contains an analytic summary of chaotic situations in Cuba and the United States, in which he had personally participated. CHAPTER II is a comparison of the political, social, and economic advantages and disadvantages existing between the market and the command economies, and the social democracy according to his international scholarly and personal experience, in developing and developed countries, especially during the last half of the twentieth and the first two decades of the twenty-first centuries. CHAPTER III explains in depth what is meant by each one of this author’s seven talents: reading and writing, pedagogy, tenacity, learning foreign languages, traveling around the world, singing, and being empathetic. CHAPTER IV explains how these talents are related to those of the two women who had considerably influenced the performance of his life.
Readable, compelling and totally persuasive, the ideas in this book have the potential to transform the ways readers approach, establish and achieve goals in a sustainable way. The book Is It Possible to Inspire Anyone? is a must read especially for young, middle-age and senior adults. Morales-Pita deciphers the conditions to inspire and to be inspired – generally speaking and especially in the classroom and at home. At the end of every chapter, there is a small “food for thought” paragraph inviting the readers – on the basis of the chapter they had just finished reading – to meditate and to prepare themselves for the following chapter. The importance of tenacity and passion to succeed in whatever undertakings they pursue becomes more evident as the readers advance in the book. This self-help memoir differs from most self-help books in that it requires the relationship of the readers not only in one issue that they are trying to cope with, but also necessarily in connections with other people. In an inspirational context, “It takes two to tango.”
May Anyone Become a Better Human Being By Adopting the Hero Code? By: Antonio Morales-Pita, PHD This book narrates the stories of two failed marriages and one successful one, with the same partakers in the context of the hero code. The decisive and crucial partaker is a woman, whose main life purpose was to transform the man in her life from being a selfish ladies’ man into a loyal empathetic gentleman. The results are amazing and duly explained in the book, which provides the readers with Food for Thought meditative approaches. Gladys’ exceptional heroic qualifications are painstakingly evident, especially concretely in chapters IV,VII and VIII, specifically in the process of improving her second most important person’s empathy exploring the heart, not just the head. The readers will be mesmerized to learn about Gladys’ real-life miracle. The book shows how an unfaithful husband can be an exemplary father involved with two diagonally different wives. The positive transformational impact made by the 2 members of a couple on each other as measured on the basis of the Hero Code. The readers will have the possibility of deciphering their hero codes by meditating about Gladys’ and Antonio’s hero codes before their encounter in chapter III. The readers are invited to meditate whether family relations maybe a cause of an inappropriate selection of marital partners. May the absence of love − intertwined with a housing crisis and some lies − lead to a divorce? A true to life example of how a casual encounter may foretell a long-lasting and unwavering love relationship able to defeat expected and unexpected powerful enemies. The last chapters of the book clearly illustrate Antonio’s hero code influence on Gladys’, and vice-a-versa. This mutual interrelationship will pleasantly surprise the readers.

This book is inspirationally empathetic because it describes the author’s experience in improving his health through the joy of physical exercising simultaneously witnessing the benefits in his muscles, successfully avoiding falls, and protecting his brain and heart. The author can be in the reader’s shoes because in the last two decades he successfully recovered from a heart attack, and two heart operations. At 81 years of age, he can walk briskly with his cane and frequently travels abroad, across challenging kilometers and miles of uneven terrains in countries like Jordan, Israel, Greece, and Turkey. He also performs daily exercises related to improving balance and is able to rapidly stand up from being seated on a chair, and even from the floor. The book exemplifies that the habit of systematic exercising turns out into a pleasant and healthy activity that also contributes to a reduction in weight and nurtures happiness and the joy of being alive.
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SENIORS TO AVOID A FALL Falls are the leading cause of injury, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations for seniors in North America. Tripping down can reduce independence and accelerate the need for long-term care. Systematically reading this book— as well as introducing and embracing the author’s recommendations related to physical exercising into their lives— would most likely help seniors to avoid collapsing or plummeting to the floor. In the introduction and first chapter of this book, the writer analyzes important research contributions from Dr. Angela Duckworth, Dr. Katherine Milkman, as well as a fitness professional Amanda Sterczyk as far as physical exercising experiments are concerned. At the end of the day, the scientific groups could not get definite conclusions. This author is convinced that, one of the reasons why the experiments were not successful, was that the word tenacity was not even included or mentioned as a possible factor related to the results of the research. While chapter II may be interpreted as a wake-up call to the readers about the direct physical consequences of plunging, chapter III stands out because it attempts to challenge them to understand, not only the tables, but also their conclusions, and even to create their own in the third table. A special characteristic of this chapter is that the author narrates his own experience introducing tenacity and being in control of his health. Chapter IV is related to the five factors generally leading to a fall, emphasizing the helping role of systematic exercising to reduce the chances of plummeting, which requires the conscientious introduction of tenacity. Additionally, the author includes three factors that can help in avoiding dropping down for seniors, according to his own successful experience. Chapter V includes two very important topics:1) Twenty five suggestions of possible ways for seniors to avoid falling derived from the author’s commitment and dedication to improve his health; and 2) the rivalry or confrontation between tenacity and procrastination exemplified by the author’s two main victories: a) learning English in Cuba during his early youth becoming a bilingual stenographer in less than three years, and b) entering upon the University of Havana without being allowed— by the Cuban government representatives — to finish High School and ranking as the salutatorian student amidst six hundred peers, as well as being appointed as instructor of his own colleagues two years before finishing his career in economics. Chapter VI deals with being in control of one’s health by means of sixteen recommendations and eight symptoms of recognizing that health is not doing well, while Chapter VII relates to the author’s experience in the relationship between systematic exercising, tenacity, and sense of purpose. Chapter VIII is dedicated to the positive effect of walking dogs on avoiding falls in seniors. Chapter IX exemplifies the combination of tenacity and sense of purpose in preventing, steering clear of, or keeping away from falls confirmed by twenty examples of remarkably eminent persons, sixty-five % of which lived more than eighty years.
