George Hubbard immigrated to America with his wife, Mary Bishop, and two oldest children, ca. 1633. He is supposed to have been born in Essex or Surry County, England, ca. 1594. They settled in Wethersfield, Connecticut, where four more children were born. In 1639, the family moved to Milford, in the Long Island Sound, where their youngest child was born. The family moved to Guilford, Connecticut, before 1650. He died in Guilford in 1682. Descendants lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Indiana, Michigan, and elsewhere.
This "Supplement to Genealogies in the Library of Congress" lists all genealogies in the Library of Congress that were catalogued between 1972 and 1976, showing acquisitions made by the Library in the five years since publication of the original two-volume Bibliography. Arranged alphabetically by family name, it adds several thousand works to the canon, clinching the Bibliography's position as the premier finding-aid in genealogy.
The Hubbard family history and genealogy is a compilation of information previously published in the Hubbard Family Genealogical News Letter (HFGNL). It consists of information about the many "tribes and clans" of Hubbards and collateral names world wide. Taken from the Compilers Comments, Leslie S. Hubbard.
