Excerpt from From River to Sea: A Tourists' and Miners' Guide From the Missouri River to the Pacific Ocean Via Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and California Broad to admit of an exhaustive treatment within the allotted space; but the space is, nevertheless, sufficient for the telling of all which the general reader cares to know or can ever remember. Wherever practicable, however, details have been given; in all cases with the greatest possible accuracy. If future editions of the book do not suffer such misfortunes as have, so far, followed this one, they will bring to the reader more of fact, more of fancy, more of art, more of everything which enters into the composition of a complete volume. Until then, with becoming modesty, this little book recommends itself simply. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
