At last! A practicum on Tantra for singles and couples. Everyone wants to know how to become a better lover! Although this book is written in easy to understand language—the language of the heart-- it is the modern, reference book on tantra-- from meditation to "quick tantra tips", from orgasm and prolonged massage to 5 minute exercises. Illustrations, diagrams, charts and step by step instructions essential for those who: want to experience spiritual sex are curious about tantra want more intimacy want to attract the right partner want to enhance or improve their relationship with their partner find other books on tantra either too academic or too raunchy want to try something new that reflects their conscious interests have very busy schedules want to experience this work in private and at their own pace Testimonials: "Outstanding-- and has full potential to become a classic reference work!"...David Fabricius, Internationally Renowned Business Speaker "The author, drawing from classic and modern sources, personal experience, and a variety of associations by non-tantric traditions, presents a much wider view of Tantra than is normally found in books directed towards Westerners. There are a lot of great concepts brought out in this book that are not covered by other popular books. "...L.B. reviewer "The book gives us a flawless, enlightened and uninhibited path to divine sexual expression and practices. It teaches the magic of improving communication between partners, which helps in healing the mind, body and soul."...Sidhartha Pani, MD "Certainly this book is more than theory. It tells of the integration of the body and soul, which is the heart of this subject -- relating our everyday experiences, emotions, and instincts to the divine creativity within."...Bradley Rockow, Vedic Astrologer
Why women evolved to have orgasms--when most of their primate relatives don't--is a persistent mystery among evolutionary biologists. In pursuing this mystery, Elisabeth Lloyd arrives at another: How could anything as inadequate as the evolutionary explanations of the female orgasm have passed muster as science? A judicious and revealing look at all twenty evolutionary accounts of the trait of human female orgasm, Lloyd's book is at the same time a case study of how certain biases steer science astray. Over the past fifteen years, the effect of sexist or male-centered approaches to science has been hotly debated. Drawing especially on data from nonhuman primates and human sexology over eighty years, Lloyd shows what damage such bias does in the study of female orgasm. She also exposes a second pernicious form of bias that permeates the literature on female orgasms: a bias toward adaptationism. Here Lloyd's critique comes alive, demonstrating how most of the evolutionary accounts either are in conflict with, or lack, certain types of evidence necessary to make their cases--how they simply assume that female orgasm must exist because it helped females in the past reproduce. As she weighs the evidence, Lloyd takes on nearly everyone who has written on the subject: evolutionists, animal behaviorists, and feminists alike. Her clearly and cogently written book is at once a convincing case study of bias in science and a sweeping summary and analysis of what is known about the evolution of the intriguing trait of female orgasm.
Explains how to use the growing practice of Orgasmic Meditation to slow down, connect emotionally, and achieve authentic female sexual satisfaction.
Do you feel like you're a "pushover"? Do you let other people make all the plans--letting them pick the movie, the restaurant, or the vacation destination? Does self-care feel selfish to you? And do you find yourself feeling resentful toward others because they don't seem to take your needs into consideration? Can you relate? If the answer is yes, this is the book for you! In this book, master coach, speaker, and author Nancy Levin will help you establish clear and healthy boundaries. This isn't easy; many of us don't want to "rock the boat." We assume setting boundaries will lead to conflict. And, unfortunately, by avoiding conflict and not setting limits, we tend to choose long-term unhappiness instead of short-term discomfort. This book includes exercises and practical tools to help even the most conflict-averse, people-pleasing readers learn new habits. You'll learn how to recognize and take inventory of your boundaries, view your boundaries differently by creating a Boundary Pyramid, learn how to say "no" effectively, and set your Bottom-Line Boundary. As your supportive guide, Nancy will show you how to gather the courage to live a life of "boundary badassery." "This work was life-changing for me, and if you're someone who has avoided boundaries for years, it can change your life, too." -- Nancy Levin
Now with this bold but simple 3-step program, any woman can achieve orgasm without difficulty during sex. It's possible with the quick and easy formula in this book.
Orgasm is one of society's most compelling, shaping forces -- and most of us probably think that we are living in its golden age. But are we? The history of the orgasm is as elusive as orgasm itself can be, for sex rarely makes the historical record. Now acclaimed British journalist Jonathan Margolis delivers the definitive history of the human orgasm, of sex for pleasure as well as conception -- from prehistory to Viagra. Most people manage just twelve minutes of orgasmic bliss per year. Some never experience it at all. Yet the urge for orgasm rules much of human life, across national and cultural boundaries. How much have we learned about female pleasure since the 1558 discovery of the clitoris? How has the drive for pleasure, and the fear of it, shaped various societies -- from Saint Francis of Assisi and the thorn bush, to "primitive" tribes who embraced maximum pleasure for both sexes? How much does the sensation of orgasm differ for different people? Drawing on the biology, literature, anthropology, psychology, and technology, Jonathan Margolis delivers the final word on both male and female orgasm in an enlightening history that is a pleasure to read.
What do we think we know about the female orgasm? It's that peak experience, an ultimate moment of climax and release that nevertheless eludes so many. Some women live for it, some have multiple orgasms, some fake it while others simply learn to do without. "Autobiography of an Orgasm" (November, 2014) is a sexy-spiritual memoir that's part steamy erotica and part straight-talking advice. It's the result of Betsy Blankenbaker's tireless journey to learn everything she could about the female orgasm in a personal quest to feel as much as possible after too many years of feeling nothing at all. To solve the mystery of why she spent much of her life disconnected from her sensuality, struggling to overcome the shame of childhood sexual assault, Blankenbaker set out at age 45 to thoroughly research women's orgasm. Along the way, she spent time in bed with orgasm experts, strolled down New York's tony Fifth Avenue with a healing jade egg in her vagina, had a spiritual awakening through orgasm in Africa, and received sacred "Womb Rites" from a shaman in the Peruvian Amazon. Through lively storytelling and a delicious sense of humor, Betsy shares why she was never able to find fulfillment in life, love or sex prior to her pilgrimage to healing and pleasure. Her findings resulted in this unprecedented book, "Autobiography of an Orgasm." "Autobiography of an Orgasm" seeks to answer the questions women have but don't know how (or whom) to ask. It is the author's fervent prayer that it will inspire women everywhere to burn their dysfunctional bridges and step into healing by learning to love their bodies and themselves.
The truth is: Most women do not have satisfying sex lives. SLOW SEX can change that. Better sex is about one thing: better orgasm. The promise: In just fifteen minutes every woman can become orgasmic. And, with the right partner and the right technique, that orgasm could last and last!
