This book serves as a guide for parents to serve together with their children, molding their hearts and making a positive impact in the lives of others. Yet, the most noticeable and significant impact will be made in the hearts of your children.
This is a collection of poetry that comes from the Holy Spirit through me. The vast majority of them were written as I sat in church listening to my Pastor speak the word into our hearts. Others came from visiting pastors and some from my own heart as the Lord laid things there that he wanted me to say. As the first poem in the book says I consider this a gift that the Lord has given me to help others to come to Him or to guide them on their path. My prayer is that what you see here gives you what you need to become complete in Him. Linda Burbank was born and raised in the area of Detroit, Michigan. We live in a society that has taught us that humility, sacrifice and servanthood are all signs of weakness. We are encouraged to be prideful and jostle for position; all at the expense of developing our humility and service before God. However, within the depths of the human condition, God placed the grace for servanthood and gifted it to us. God did not intend for this gift to lay dormant but for it to be stirred up; once you finish this book, I trust that your gift will be stirred up. This book will take you on a journey using biblical wisdom and personal experience to equip you with the tools you need to thrive in the place of servanthood. Whilst the first few chapters lay the foundation and set the scene, the rest of the book serves to educate and inform. Through twelve key questions, this book will bring you to a place of reflection and cause you to ponder on the nature on your service before God. As a practical resource, this book can be used for personal or group study. When you put this book down, I trust that you will not only feel refreshed, encouraged and inspired, but ready to step up to the challenge of living a life sold out to serving Jesus Christ.
Neuropsychologist Offers Hope to Those Struggling with Depression As a board-certified neuropsychologist, Dr. Michelle Bengtson sees the devastation of depression. Early on, she practiced the most effective treatments and prescribed them for her clients. But when she experienced depression herself, she found that the treatments she had recommended were lacking. Her experience showed her the missing component in treating depression. In Hope Prevails, Dr. Bengtson writes with deep compassion, blending her training and faith, to offer readers a hope grounded in God's love and grace. She helps readers understand what depression is, how it affects them spiritually, and what, by God's grace, it cannot do. The result is an approach that offers the hope of release, not just the management of symptoms. For those who struggle with depression and those who want to help them, Hope Prevails offers hope for the future.

Sometimes people lose sight of the core of their ministry. They feel overwhelmed by the needs that surround them on a daily basis. Wise and beloved pastor Warren Wiersbe invites ministry leaders to listen in on thirty short "armchair chats" to encourage and strengthen them for service. He shares what he wishes he had known about ministering to others when he began his own Christian pilgrimage. "Ministry," he says, "takes place when divine resources meet human needs through loving channels to the glory of God." With this new edition of a classic book, which includes a foreword by Jim Cymbala, the next generation of ministry leaders can take advantage of Wiersbe's years of wisdom.
