The Loss-of-Coolant Accident Analysis Program provides experimentally verified analytical techniques for the Loss-of-Fluid Test (LOFT) Program and for the evaluation of light-water power reactors during a loss-of-coolant accident. The principal features of the Loss-of-Coolant Analysis Program include core thermal models, primary loop hydraulic models, structural models, and containment models. This document includes a description of the purpose, objectives, and justification of the Loss-of-Coolant Accident Analysis Program as well as the relationship to other nuclear safety programs. It also describes the models developed, the work which has been accomplished on each of these models to the present time, and the computer codes which employ these models. The computer codes include MOXY, THETA1, RELAP3, STRAP, and CONTEMPT-PS. A time schedule and work plan are also included for future development of these models.
