There is a much bigger picture to Fear than the average person knows. Fear is merely something we 'Agree' to. We each create our own Fears from the experiences we have. Fear is a matter of where our 'Attention' is. For myself, I have found one of the best ways to understand my Fears is to confront them and See them for what they are. Some people need others to help them, and some people would rather not deal with knowing what they carry with them all the time. I am constantly confronting what confronts me, as this is My Adventure and to make Better Choices for Myself, than to let the Fear that exists in this life Kontrol me. I have enough to deal with just knowing the OneWorld Order that Rules and Kontrols the earth also uses Fear as the main ingredient for all their Takeovers. Fortunately, the earth is just a 'Place in Life' and not Life ITSelf. I am fortunate to know there is So Much More than just being a physical person on this little earth. www.DuaneTheGreatWriter.info

An antidote to the culture of fear that dominates modern life From moral panics about immigration and gun control to anxiety about terrorism and natural disasters, Americans live in a culture of fear. While fear is typically discussed in emotional or poetic terms—as the opposite of courage, or as an obstacle to be overcome—it nevertheless has very real consequences in everyday life. Persistent fear negatively effects individuals’ decision-making abilities and causes anxiety, depression, and poor physical health. Further, fear harms communities and society by corroding social trust and civic engagement. Yet politicians often effectively leverage fears to garner votes and companies routinely market unnecessary products that promise protection from imagined or exaggerated harms. Drawing on five years of data from the Chapman Survey of American Fears—which canvasses a random, national sample of adults about a broad range of fears—Fear Itself offers new insights into what people are afraid of and how fear affects their lives. The authors also draw on participant observation with Doomsday preppers and conspiracy theorists to provide fascinating narratives about subcultures of fear. Fear Itself is a novel, wide-ranging study of the social consequences of fear, ultimately suggesting that there is good reason to be afraid of fear itself.

This is an exposition of the internal or spiritual sense of the books of Genesis and Exodus, according to the law of correspondences. It unfolds the spiritual significance of the creation; of the stories of Adam and Eve, and of the deluge; of the lives of the patriarchs; of the captivity of the chosen people in Egypt and of their deliverance therefrom, and of their subsequent history; of the ritual of the Jewish religion, its sacrifices and observances:—and in general, traces the foreshadowing through both books of the incarnation and glorification of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many passages from other parts of the Word are also fully explained. Relations of things heard and seen in the spiritual world are interspersed, explaining the process of dying, and of man's resuscitation and conscious entrance into the interior life; the nature of the soul; of heaven and heavenly joy;and of hell, its nature and its miseries. It also treats of the Grand Man, or the whole angelic heaven, and the correspondence of the societies therein with the different organs and senses of the body; the origin and correspondence of diseases; the spirits and inhabitants of the various planets, and of other earths in the starry heavens. All of which are related to a true understanding of the Divine Word. This is book #3 out of 12 and covers Genesis 18 - 22

This third volume from the Works of William Perkins collection contains Perkins's A Cloud of Faithful Witnesses, Leading to the Heavenly Canaan , which was his exposition of Hebrews 11. Within, Perkins contends that the whole chapter of Hebrews 11 is meant to urge readers to persevere in faith by persuading them of the excellence of faith. In his characteristic manner, Perkins brings the abiding importance of this message through careful exegesis and perceptive application. In an age of cheap faith and easy believism, this exposition offers us a way to put our faith to the test, to try it against the faith of the "great cloud of witnesses," and, in the end, to put it into practice, assured that God's mercy will uphold us for life.
