A brand new value-priced edition of the best-selling series created by comic book legend Michael Turner, Fathom follows Aspen Matthews a young woman who has always been drawn to the sea. As a Marine biologist, she discovers something strange and beautiful on the sea floor; something not of our world. Now, Aspen's life will never be the same, and the fate of two civilizations will rest in her hands.
When Aspen Matthews came to discover her true heritage, and her life beneath the waves began, her first mentor was the vicious Killian, who intended to turn her into a weapon which would destroy the world above the water utterly. Now Titan Books present Killian's story. Years before Aspen's birth, there is dissent amongst the ocean-dwellers. One of their cities has been unwittingly destroyed by humans, as a result of an atomic test. Rival factions clash over the right way to proceed, but, it seems, none of them wish for an all-out war. Even those who distrust and dislike humans - Killian included - know that to attack would lead to discovery, and chaos beyond their most awful imaginings. But when Killian discovers the terrible truth behind his parents' deaths, everything changes... forever...
Aspen is proud to offer a new third edition of the sold-out story that sparked the war, and brought the world of Fathom to its knees, Fathom: Dawn of War! This special trade paperback contains the entire tale of warfare and betrayal that led up to the battle between the humans and the Blue, and the unheralded surfacing of the Black! Find out why Dawn of War became one of the most pivotal storylines in Fathom history!
Collects Charismagic: The Death Princess #1-3: Orlana, spoken of in hush tones as the "Death Princess," rules over all who oppose her reign. Not by force, but through the most dangerous of all magical powers -- the ability to control minds! Under the Death Princess' shadow of dominance and fear, the humans of Earth find themselves at risk of their civilization falling completely under her rule forever! Until Kon, a young but powerful wizard finds himself on an unimaginable quest to break Orlana's curse on humanity, and set free those she wishes to forever hold under her spell!
On the day the end begins, the sea will reveal a mystery. Ex-Navy SEAL Jack Kirkland surfaces from an aborted underwater salvage mission to find the Earth burning. Solar flares have triggered a series of gargantuan natural disasters. Earthquakes and hellfire rock the globe. Air Force One has vanished from the skies with America's President on board. Now, with the U.S. on the narrow brink of a nuclear apocalypse, Kirkland must pilot his ocean-going exploration ship, Deep Fathom, on a desperate mission miles below the ocean's surface. There devastating secrets await him—and a power an ancient civilization could not contain has been cast out into modern day. And it will forever alter a world that's already racing toward its own destruction. See why the Providence Journal-Bulletin calls James Rollins "the modern master of the action thriller" with this classic Rollins tale.
The second volume of To Fathom the Gist examines in depth how Gurdjieff wrote Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson and discusses the three ways of reading the book in light of how the book was written. It provides useful perspectives on the book by examining the 1931 Manuscript (the earliest edition of The Tales) and comparing it to Gurdjieff's final version. It also analyzes the 1992 revision of The Tales in depth. Finally, this volume investigates the Arch-absurd-Beelzebub's assertion that our Sun neither lights nor heats.
The oceans will boil! Kiani, Fathom's popular Elite Blue warrior, embarks on a journey of her own in search for answers. For over 50 years, renowned motor sport and aviation artist Michael Turner annually produced a set of paintings depicting stand-out moments from that year's Formula One and sports car racing season. The paintings were reproduced as a set of Christmas cards and made available through Michael's own company, Studio 88, which he formed in 1963. Over the years, these cards became highly-collectable to the extent that, in 1992, Michael's wife, Helen, formed a Collectors' Club which quickly gained a worldwide membership. Now, for the first time, the entire collection of cards produced between 1960 and 2016 is published together in the book, 'The Michael Turner Collection', written by Chas Parker in conjunction with Michael.
