FALLING SEVEN TIMES is about a young Ethiopian woman, Alya, struggling to be a migrant worker to support her family. Her story is one of tens of thousands of people going abroad in search of jobs that pay a livable wage so they can send money home. Her sacrifices and the many ups and downs she experiences communicate what migrant laborers suffer. Alya’s particular travels to the Gulf States and Middle Eastern countries illuminate the many desperate pitfalls of migratory labor. This book also highlights the foreign environments, including the different languages and cultures, Alya encounters and how they contrast with her customs. Alya’s case is of such interest that it keeps the reader engrossed in learning what happens next. The reader keeps asking if Alya will live or die. This book of fiction is based on a true story. It teaches some elements of culture and customs of the countries where Alya works as well as in her home country of Ethiopia. There are many twists and turns in this book that keep the reader guessing about what happens next. Each of the book’s thirty-six chapters (98,000 words) provides a description of Alya’s understanding of bondage in a foreign land and her eventual escape to the impoverished sanctuary of home.

We know very little about Marguerite Porete, only that she was a beguine from Hainaut who was burned at the stake as a relapsed heretic in 1310. She might have been a solitary itinerant beguine who expounded her teachings to interested listeners.
A major figure in eighteenth-century Christianity, John Wesley sought to combine the essential elements of the Catholic and Evangelical traditions and to restore to the laity a vital role in church life. He began one of the most dynamic movements in the history of modern Protestantism, a movement which eventually produced the Methodist churches. This volume offers a representative selection of theological writings by Wesley and includes historically oriented introductions and footnotes which indicate Wesley's Anglican, patristic, and biblical sources.
Sub-titled "Anti-Christ, Babylon, and the Bride of the Lamb", Volume II of our Great Falling Away series details the three levels of faith in the world, together with their commensurate, three worldviews. These worldviews are inextricably inter-twined with mankind?s concepts of mortality, immortality, and eternity, as men exercise, or don?t exercise, their God-given faith and conscience. In revealing the precepts of a biblically-defined faith, we also unveil the nature and characteristics of anti-Christ, Babylon, and the Bride of the Lamb, the three protagonists in all of the world?s conflicts. And the world?s conflicts are coming to a crescendo, as we approach the full harvest of the first resurrection, and its attendent, soon-following, wedding feast of the Lamb in the heaven of God, soon-after followed by the establishment of the kingdom of God on earth for one thousand years, under the Kingship of Messiah Yahshua - Jesus the Christ of Nazareth/Bethlehem/Judea. This is MY presentation on the old, old story of Jesus and His love in contemporary terms: "Euangelion-Evangelism on facebook." I have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, spreading this story on Facebook. Largely informal, and usually prefixed by an anecdote that served as an original inspiration to some notes, these notes are merely edited versions of the originals still on my Facebook profile. I have handpicked choice notes, and reproduced them in this book in the chronological order in which I wrote them. They deal with varied spiritual subjects that are not necessarily related.
Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon were all thought by the early church fathers to have derived from the hand of Solomon. To their minds the finest wisdom about the deeper issues of life was to be found in these books. This ACCS volume offers a rich trove of wisdom on Wisdom literature for the enrichment of the church today.
