Five volumes have been written under the overall title of A Treatise on the Seven Rays, based on the fact, the nature, the quality and the interrelationship of the seven streams of energy pervading our solar system, our planet and all that lives and moves within its orbit. The first two volumes go extensively into the psychological make-up of a human being as the life, quality and appearance of an incarnating, evolving spiritual entity. They also relate the circumstance of a human psychology to world conditions and to future possibilities.
The constant reappearance of the Ancient or Ageless Wisdom, that body of inner or esoteric teaching handed down from remote times in a form suitable to the period has always attracted the minds of thoughtful people. Through its remarkable preservation and continuity it has been compared in symbol to a golden thread: a spiritual life-line waxing or waning in clarity and intensity from century to century.
Throughout the books of Alice Bailey we frequently come across arresting suggestions and ideas. Many of these are brought together in this book. Arranged in alphabetical subject order they form an ideal introduction to the books as a whole. Topics include: The Ancient Mysteries, Courage, Crisis, Guidance, Joy, Mind, The New Age, Visualisation.
This compilation from the books of Alice Bailey seeks to increase understanding of the immortal soul, addressing many aspects under sixty two headings. The creative nature of the Soul: On its own plane, the soul knows no separation, and the factor of synthesis governs all soul relations. The soul is occupied not only with the form that the vision of its objective may take, but with the quality or the meaning which that vision veils or hides. The soul knows the Plan; its form, outline, methods and objective are known. Through the use of the creative imagination, the soul creates; it builds thought-forms on the mental plane and objectifies desire on the astral plane. It proceeds then to externalise its thought and its desire upon the physical plane through applied force, creatively actuated by the imagination of the etheric or vital vehicle. Yet because the soul intelligence, motivated by love, it can (within the realised synthesis which governs its activities) analyse, discriminate and divide. The soul likewise aspires to that which is greater than itself, and reaches out to the world of divine ideas, and thus itself occupies a midway position between the world of ideation and the world of forms, This is its difficulty and its opportunity.
"Freemasonry in the Aquarian Age" tells us the story of the origin of Freemasonry, its purpose and its work through history and of how Masters of the Hierarchy on The Inner Planes work together with humans with the purpose of promoting the coming of God's Kingdom on Earth. In the Aquarian Age Freemasonry will get help to restore the original mysteries. In spite of distortions, oblivion and misunderstandings Freemasonry has been capable of preserving the core of the great esoteric truths. In the coming age Freemasons will be able to educate and form themselves to become true and real servers, who have built a channel into Kingdom of God. Thus they will be able to become true Master Builders transmitting to Earth the Light, Love and Power of God's Kingdom, and the true Brotherhood of Humanity will be recognized. Master D.K. emphasizes that education, education and education again is what can make it possible to restore the mysteries. Esoteric knowledge and meditation must be taught. That which is taught must move from symbols to meaning to significance and must support the individual person to move from the dark into the light or from unreality into reality. The author manifests a vision of the future of Freemasonry and inspires the reader as to how the individual lodge and freemason can begin to prepare the restoration of the mysteries through education.
Modern Alchemy and Occult Psychology discusses alchemy through the language of modern psychology. It is a book of Magik that puts forward a theory whereby human consciousness can intimately interface with the soul and transcend death. This concept is known to Buddhists as Bardo. It was known to the ancient Egyptians and was ritualized in the Book of the Dead. This book also discusses Enochian Magik and Music.
This book presents basic postulates concerning many esoteric concepts. These include the concept of ‘God’, what constitutes evil, the nature and function of karma, the manifestation of energy from the subtle planes of perception, the nature of manifest Divinity, as veiled by the concept of the Christ in the Bible, and the mysteries of Being. The analysis moves from my earlier Buddhist writings to focus upon the information in the Bible, especially in relation to the nature of the reappearance of the Christ, which here is equated with the externalisation process of the Hierarchy of Enlightened Being. This doctrine concerns the mode of the evolution of transcendent perception by humanity. The awakening of higher spiritual perceptions via the enlightenment path, and the understanding of the psychic constitution of the nāḍīs and chakras are also explained. A syncretic approach is therefore espoused through the comparison between Eastern doctrines and the presented esoteric Christianity. In doing so many of the veiled, hidden mysteries in the Gospel story and the book of Genesis are revealed. The text shows how these religions are but aspects of one fundamental religious evolution, of the historical development of what is known in the East as the dharma, and in the Western tradition as the ‘Law of God’.
Service can be briefly described as the spontaneous effect of soul contact. This contact is so definite and fixed that the life of the soul pours through into the instrument – the personality – the means of soul contact to the physical plane. This book of quotations from the writings of Djwhal Khul are presented under 118 headings and in his words: That your vision may expand, and your power to think and reflect abstractly, may grow, is my hope and wish for you.
