Another gorgeous copublication with the Christine Burgin Gallery, Emily Dickinson's Envelope Poems is a compact clothbound gift book, a full-color selection from The Gorgeous Nothings. Although a very prolific poet—and arguably America’s greatest—Emily Dickinson (1830–1886) published fewer than a dozen of her eighteen hundred poems. Instead, she created at home small handmade books. When, in her later years, she stopped producing these, she was still writing a great deal, and at her death she left behind many poems, drafts, and letters. It is among the makeshift and fragile manuscripts of Dickinson’s later writings that we find the envelope poems gathered here. These manuscripts on envelopes (recycled by the poet with marked New England thrift) were written with the full powers of her late, most radical period. Intensely alive, these envelope poems are charged with a special poignancy—addressed to no one and everyone at once. Full-color facsimiles are accompanied by Marta L. Werner and Jen Bervin’s pioneering transcriptions of Dickinson’s handwriting. Their transcriptions allow us to read the texts, while the facsimiles let us see exactly what Dickinson wrote (the variant words, crossings-out, dashes, directional fields, spaces, columns, and overlapping planes). This fixed-layout ebook is an exact replica of the print edition, and requires a color screen to properly display the high-resolution images it contains. For this reason, Envelope Poems is not available on devices with e-ink screens, such as Kindle Paperwhite. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Would you survive being left in the altar by your first love? Could you handle the fact that your second love and marriage was a charade? They say that the third time's the charm. But sometimes it's the worst out of all of them. Would you trust your handsome neighbor without falling in love with him? I trusted mine…and yes, I did fall in love with him. He also lied. Another hustler to add to the list. He told me that he was a well known and respected architect but it turns out he was an important CIA agent. He said he had a mission to accomplish. His mission…was me.
All bets are off in this erotically charged collection of four all-new stories that follows four daring women as they risk it all to win the often challenging and unpredictble game of love. Original.
When the weirdest girl in school mysteriously vanishes and a newcomer moves into town a few months later, the spy group Silver League is instantly suspicious. As they try to uncover a connection between the two girls, life at school takes a dramatic turn, and the members of the spy group are in for quite an interesting first term.
Bound by blood but burdened by broken trusts, three devoted sisters struggle between unconditional family ties and vengeance-fueled schemes in this pulse-pounding women’s crime thriller by BriAnn Danae. There’s always a motive . . . but who will take the fall when someone catches a body? Sisters Mia, Hazel, and Teyona enter the world of corporate scamming, intentionally planning to ruin the lives of those who flipped theirs upside down. While risking it all, the consequences of their actions are the last thing on their minds—only the end goal. They take the “lavish lifestyle” to the extreme and refuse to look back. When their priorities become unaligned, propositions present themselves, making it difficult for them to decline. With money flowing in, a plot set in place, and their tracks completely covered, the sisters bask in their hard work. That’s until one impatient decision leaves behind a dead body with no one to answer for it. In the name of sisterhood and loyalty, one of them must take the fall, or else . . .
