Multimedia techniques enable the production of non-traditional documents containing enourmous amounts of information. The production of such documents by a group, as opposed to an individual, is the main subject of this book. A group needs to communicate, and multimedia technology can be used to enhance group communication. How multimedia documentation and communication and groups of authors fit together are the main questions tackled. The book describes the construction of a conceptual framework and the prototype system, CoMEdiA, as well as how the system was used to conduct a group effectiveness study involving two applications: cooperative software engineering and data production. Thus the work relates to multimedia communication, cooperative editing, and group support and effectiveness.

This anthology of plays from the Spanish Golden Age brings together the work of canonical writers, female writers who are rapidly achieving canonical status, and lesser-known writers who have recently gained critical attention. It contains the full text of fifteen plays; an introduction to each play with information about the author, the work, performance issues, and current criticism; and glosses with definitions of difficult words and concepts. The extensive bibliography provides opportunities for further research.
Fuente Ovejuna (C.1613) is the most famous and frequently performed play by the creator of Spanish theatre, Lope de Vega (1562-1635). Astonishingly for its period, it celebrates the murder in 1476 of a nobleman, the Grand Commander of the Military Order of Calatrava, by the peasants he had oppressed, and their subsequent solidarity under torture.
