The brief of this study was to identify the indicators for assessing the potential of urban programme areas for physical and economic regeneration. After providing the framework for the selection and evaluation of the indicators given in part A of the report, each indicator is then separately specified and illustrated in detail in part B.
This book focuses on the measurement and utilisation of quantitative indicators in the urban and regional planning fields. There has been a resurgence of academic and policy interest in using indicators to inform planning, partly in response to the current government's information intensive approach to decision-making.
