"This self-study report was written by the Chair of teh Department of Biological Sciences with assistance of the Departmental staff and some faculty members.....The Department of Biological Sciences (the Department) is one of five departments that make up the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences (CENS) of the University of Tennessee at Martin (UT-Martin). The Department offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) dgree in Biology with any of three concentrations: Cell & Molecular Biology (C&M), Organismal Biology (OB), and Ecology & Environmental Biology (E&EB). Biology students interested in various health fields may follow Plans of Study developed for each health specialty but must follow and declare one of the three concentrations in order to graduate. ...In addition to courses taught on the main campus, Biology courses are offered at the UT-Martin Centers in Jackson, Parson, Ripley, and Selmer.
