Conception et réalisation d'un nouveau type de convertisseur direct de fréquence, alimenté directement par un alternateur à vitesse variable, assimilé à une source de courant. Le convertisseur doit fournir, après filtrage, une tension d'amplitude et de fréquence fixes. La modulation utilisée est le résultat d'une optimisation des largeurs d'impulsions permettant de régler l'amplitude et la fréquence du courant de sortie du convertisseur, tout en minimisant les harmoniques de rang bas qui sont difficiles à filtrer. Dans la maquette une commande numérique impose un motif de commutation préalablement optimisé.
