Jesus told Nicodemus, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Dr Jimmie Chapman gives scriptural explanation for Jesus' requirement of the new birth; and scriptural explanation of exactly what happens when a person is born again. Too many Christians use the term "born again" rather loosely without realizing what it means; and without realizing that it involves a complete transformation that affects every area of a person's life. Have you been born again according to the biblical interpretation of the new birth? Has your life been transformed? Are you a new creature in Christ? Does your life reflect the changes made by the new birth? If you cannot answer "YES!" to all three of these questions, read this book, study your Bible and pray and seek the new birth. Reborn and Transformed is a detailed study of the biblical experience of being born again and all the changes that accompany the new birth. This book is a good resource for a Bible study of the new birth.
In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 7 through 10 of The History of the Church and the Local Churches, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1973–1974. These chapters cover the history of the local churches. The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 10 and 11 of The Basic Revelation in the Holy Scriptures, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1983. These chapters cover the New Jerusalem--the ultimate consummation. Then this line continues with chapters 1 and 2 of a new book, Fellowshipping with the Lord for the Mingling of God with Man, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1961–1962. These chapters cover the two aspects of prayer being fellowship and inquiring and also learning to fellowship with God and being used by Him. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 47 through 50 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters speak of sons of God under the leading of the divine life, the constituents of the leading of the Spirit, knowing the leading of the Spirit by putting to death the practices of the body, and being led by the Spirit by enjoying His all-inclusive indwelling. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapters 11 and 12 of The Triune God's Revelation and His Move, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters cover the Triune God's revelation and His move in the New Testament and also the visions and God's move. Then this line continues with chapters 1 and 2 of The Issue of the Dispensing of the Processed Trinity and the Transmitting of the Transcending Christ, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1993. These chapters cover the issue of God the Father's dispensing speaking forth God's eternal purpose and the issue of the Son's dispensing speaking forth the accomplishment of God's eternal purpose.
Wilson's reconceptualization of the American project of conversion begins with the story of Henry 'Ōpūkaha'ia, the first Hawaiian convert to Christianity, torn from his Native Pacific homeland and transplanted to New England. Wilson argues that 'Ōpūkaha'ia's conversion is both remarkable and prototypically American.
The purpose of this book is to look and examine oneself, in order to know if you are living and meeting the standards and expectations of the Living God. The objective is to identify where you fit within the Body of Christ. Are you displaying some of the characteristics of Jesus to such a degree it is obvious and recognizable to all who see you? Look at these characteristics listed below: • Crucified with Christ (living a surrendered life to the glory of God) • United with Jesus in a new life, through the renewing of your mind • Empowered with the anointing of God to live a holy and sanctified life • Submitting to Jesus authority and leadership under the direction of the Holy Spirit • Living a discipline and obedient life through God’s Holy Word • Purged and consecrated: assessable for use • Faith and commitment lived out daily At the end of reading the examples mention above, if you are not displaying some of the characteristics – then you my friend are living below your privilege as a child of God. Draw nearer to take a closer look in this mirror which I am offering through the pages of this book. Sit down, prepare to relax and look into the pages which will allow you to come face to face with your inner man. Allow the journey you will take to change your life on how you view and perceive yourself as a Christian.
As followers of Christ, do people see His resemblance in us? What promotes or hinders such transformation? God created and called us to be transformed to His likeness. He wants to increasingly, lovingly mold us into His image! It's a lifelong process involving:¿A supernatural, spiritual rebirth followed by daily surrender to God's Word and His Spirit's influence ¿ A determined rejection of conformity to the world coupled with a passionate pursuit of holiness ¿A willingness to renew, even change, individual mindsets about anything not fully aligning with God's Word. These concise daily devotions encourage such a powerful, transforming impact. Weaving insights from both Old and New Testaments, Stevens inspires readers to make each day a catalyst of change-to move beyond mere reading to life application where they ignite a deeper, more intimate walk with God. Enjoy a 30-day journey of embracing God's personal transformation "until Christ is formed in you". (Galatians 4:19).
In this life-study, Witness Lee presents the Epistle to the Hebrews as God's speaking in Christ the Son, who is now in the heavens as our Minister and our High Priest, ministering to us the heavenly life, grace, authority, and power and sustaining us to live a heavenly life on Earth. He is the Christ now, the Christ today, and the Christ on the throne in the heavens, who is our daily salvation and moment-by-moment supply.
