Her Declaration of Sentiments, presented at the Seneca Falls Convention held in 1848 in Seneca Falls, New York, is often credited with initiating the first organized women's rights and women's suffrage movements in the United States. Stanton was president of the National Woman Suffrage Association from 1892 until 1900. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1988, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from March 21 through June 6, 1988. In the last week of March Brother Lee visited Spokane, Washington, and San Francisco, California, before he returned to Anaheim, California. In the first few days of April he visited San Jose for two days, and in the second week of April he flew to Taipei, Taiwan, and remained there until early June. The contents of this volume are divided into twelve sections, as follows: 1. Four messages given in Spokane, Washington, on March 21 through 23. These messages are included in this volume under the title The Practice of the New Way for the Organic Building Up of the Body of Christ. 2. Three messages given in Spokane, Washington, on March 21 and 22. These messages are included in this volume under the title The Perfecting, Growth, and Functioning of All the Members for the Building Up of the Body of Christ. 3. A message given in Chinese in Anaheim, California, on March 26. This message is included in this volume under the title The Supply of Life and the Building Up of Three Habits. 4. A message given in Anaheim, California, on March 27. It is included in this volume under the title Experiencing God, Christ, the Word, Faith, and the Spirit as Revealed in Galatians 3. 5. Four messages given in San Jose, California, on April 2 and 3. Two of the messages were given in Chinese, and two were given in English. These messages are included in this volume under the title Going Forth to Bear Fruit and Making the Fruit Remain. 6. A message given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 10. It is included in this volume under the title Letting the Fire of the Gospel Burn throughout the College Campuses. 7. Four messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 13 through June 6. These messages are included in this volume under the title The Leading of the New Testament Ministry and the Organic Work of the New Way. 8. Four messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 13 through May 30. They are included in this volume under the title The Proper Elders' Administration of the Church and the Organic Practice of the New Way. 9. Eleven messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 12 through June 3. The first ten of these messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled Words of Life from the 1988 Full-time Training. Chapter 11 was discovered later and was added to this previously published book. These eleven messages are included in this volume under the same title. 10. A message given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 16. This message is included in this volume under the title Questions, Answers, and Fellowship concerning the Living and Service in the New Way. 11. Eight messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 16 through June 5. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled Messages Given to the Working Saints and are included in this volume under the same title. 12. Eighteen messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, during the month of April and through May 6. They were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled Crucial Words of Leading in the Lord's Recovery, Book 2: Leading the Saints to Practice the New Way Ordained by the Lord and are included in this volume under the same title.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1969, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from April 4 through August 9, 1969. As mentioned in the preface to volume 1, in early April Brother Lee made a brief visit to Waco, Texas, and at the beginning of May he visited San Francisco. At the end of May he traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico; and then to Erie, Pennsylvania; Toronto, Canada; and Erie, Pennsylvania, a second time. Regrettably, there is no record of Brother Lee's speaking in his first visit to Erie and in his visit to Toronto. He returned to Los Angeles at the beginning of July and remained there until the end of August. The contents of this volume are divided into nine sections, as follows: 1. Six messages given in Waco, Texas, on April 4 through 6. These messages are included in this section under the title Experiencing and Enjoying the All-inclusive, Compound Spirit for the Building Up of the Church as God's Dwelling Place. The recording of one of the six messages appears to have been lost. 2. Seven messages given in San Francisco, California, on May 2 through 4. They are included in this volume under the title Praising God with Christ as the Content by Our Experiencing and Enjoying Him. 3. Nine messages given in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from May 31 through June 5. These messages are included in this volume under the title Practicing the Church Life by Exercising the Spirit. 4. Two messages given in Erie, Pennsylvania, on June 28. These messages were given near the end of a longer conference that began on June 19. Regrettably, there is no record of Brother Lee's speaking from June 19 through 27. The two recorded messages are included in this section under the title TheRecovery of the Local Churches with the Sevenfold Spirit. 5. Ten messages given in Los Angeles, California, on July 4 through 13. They were originally published in The Stream, volume 7, number 4, November 1, 1969; and volume 8, number 1, February 1, 1970; and number 2, May 1, 1970, under the title The Seven Spirits for the Local Churches. 6. Eight messages given in Los Angeles, California, on July 4 through 12, 1969. They were originally published in The Stream, volume 8, number 2, May 1, 1970; number 3, August 1, 1970; and number 4, November 1, 1970, under the title The Recovery of God's House and God's City. 7. Eighteen messages given in Los Angeles, California, from July 16 through August 15, 1969. They were previously published in a sixteen-chapter book under the title The Crucial Revelation of Life in the Scriptures. 8. Five messages given in Los Angeles, California, from July 17 through August 14. These messages are included in this volume under the title Further Speaking on the Crucial Revelation of Life in the Scriptures. Two of the five spoken messages were combined. 9. One message given in Los Angeles, California, on August 9. This message is published in this volume under the title The Structure of the Book of Psalms.
The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1970, volume 3, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from October 18 through December 1970. From the middle of October until the end of the year, Brother Lee was in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The contents of this volume are divided into eight sections, as follows: 1. Twenty-four messages given in Hong Kong in October and November. These messages were edited from audio recordings together with the notes taken by Brother K. H. Weigh and were previously published in Chinese as a book entitled The Church Life in Spirit and Truthfulness. They are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Eight messages given in Hong Kong on October 18 through November 14. They were compiled and edited from audio recordings together with the notes of Brother K. H. Weigh and are included in this volume under the title The Proper Attitude When Facing Turmoils. 3. A message given in Hong Kong on an unknown date in 1970. In 1971 this message was published in Chinese with some added material by the Taiwan Gospel Book Room under the title Concerning the Person of Christ. Later, a booklet by the same title was published in English. The English edition is included in this volume. 4. A message given in Hong Kong on an unknown date in 1970. It was previously published in Chinese under the title Concerning the Triune God--the Father, the Son, and the Spirit and was later published in English under the same title. The English edition of the booklet is included in this section. 5. Seventeen messages given in Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in November and December. The first fourteen messages were originally published in Chinese in The Ministry of the Word magazine in January through August 1971. The entire series of seventeen messages was published in Chinese and English as a book entitled Being Delivered from Religious Rituals and Walking according to the Spirit and is included in this volume under the same title. 6. Four messages given in Taichung, Taiwan, on December 9 through 11. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English under the title The Ministry of the New Covenant and the Spirit. The contents of the published book are included in this volume. 7. Fourteen messages given in Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in December. They were originally published in Chinese in The Ministry of the Word magazine in March through December 1971 and were also published as a book entitled Taking Christ as Our Person for the Church Life. They were subsequently published in English in a book under the same title and are included in this volume. 8. Three messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, from December 3 through 5. These messages are included in this volume under the title An Explanation of a Few Truths.
The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1977, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 2 through July 10, 1977. In 1977 Brother Lee spoke ninety-nine messages that were published in Life-study of Genesis, Life-study of Matthew, and Life-study of Revelation. The Life-study messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. From the beginning of the year until the beginning of April, Brother Lee ministered in Anaheim, California. From early April through mid-April he ministered in Stuttgart, Germany. From the middle of April until the beginning of May, he traveled to Rome, Italy; Neuchatel, Switzerland; Blackpool, England; Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and the Galilee, Israel; Athens, Greece; and Madrid, Spain. There is no record of his speaking in any of these cities except Blackpool. At the end of the first week in May, Brother Lee held a conference in New York City before returning to Anaheim, where he remained until August 18. The contents of this volume are divided into ten sections, as follows: 1. Seven messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 2 through March 24. These messages were combined into four chapters and included in this volume under the title Weekly Elders' Meetings in Anaheim. 2. Two messages given in Chinese in Anaheim, California, on January 19. The translated messages are included in this volume under the title Fellowship with Young People concerning the Course of the Recovery of the Church. 3. Five messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 9 through March 9. They are included in this volume under the title Fellowship and Questions concerning the Gospel. 4. Three messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 13 through March 6. They are included in this volume under the title Various Lord's Day Morning Meetings. 5. Brother Lee's speaking during a time of fellowship with Walter Martin, president of the Christian Research Institute, in Brother Lee's home in Anaheim, California, on February 21. It is included in this volume under the title Brother Lee's Fellowship with Walter Martin. 6. Twenty messages given in Stuttgart, Germany, on April 8 through 17. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Kernel of the Bible. 7. Five messages given in Blackpool, England, on April 22 through 24. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Producing and Building Up of the Church as the Totality of the Divine Sonship. 8. Five messages given in New York City on May 6 through 8. They were previously published in a book entitled The Recovery of Christ in the Present Evil Age. 9. Six messages given in Anaheim, California, on May 13 through 22 and on June 9. They were previously published in a book entitled The Lord's Recovery and the Present Situation of Religion. 10.
