Excerpt from The Clemens Family Chronology: 1610-1912 In this volume upwards of one hundred different Clemens family lines are represented, including those whose forefathers emigrated from Ger many, Holland, England, Wales and Ireland. No complete genealogy of any one particular Clemens line has thus far been printed, and I doubt if any such work has ever been compiled in manuscript. This Chronology therefore will prove to be the basis for such genealogies of the Clemens family which may be compiled in future years by the generations still to come.
