Extracts from the "Clarence & Richmond Examiner", first printed as a weekly, then bi-weekly, then later tri-weekly, before becoming a daily in 1914. It was printed in Grafton, New South Wales. The name was later changed to "The Daily Examiner." The first three sections of the volumes include information from birth, death, and marriage notices which appeared June 1859-December 1910. The fourth sections are deaths reported as news items and include reports of death, inquests, funerals, etc. The passengers and crew index includes name, ship, date of arrival, port and date of departure, port of arrival, status, and reference in paper. The Clarence River was granted "port of entry" status in 1862.
