Nearly 400 accelerograph records were recovered from the National Cooperative Strong-Motion Network (NCSMN) during 1989. There are more than 1,000 NCSMN stations in 40 states & Puerto Rico. Primary objectives are to record strong ground motions & the response of representative engineered structures during moderate to large earthquakes, & to disseminate the resultant data & information about the records, sites, & structures to the earthquake engineering research & design community.
