This booklet which accompanies Unit 2 of the Cambridge Latin Course contains standardized tests reflecting the course's objectives.
The Cambridge Latin Course aims both to teach comprehension of the Latin language through reading practice, and to develop understanding of the social and political history of the Romans. This booklet, which accompanies Unit 1, contains standardized tests reflecting the course's objectives. Each test starts with a reading passage followed by comprehension and grammar questions in the form of true/false statements, multiple choice questions or matching items. The remaining questions are designed to evaluate the student's knowledge of grammar, derivatives and culture. To provide variety, several culture sections are interspersed thoroughout the tests. All of the reading passages and questions are appropriate to the levels of the corresponding stages, and pertain to material featured in the textbook. The tests may be graded either by Scantron machines, or by more traditional methods.
