Guillaume Fouquet (b.ca.1667), a French Huguenot, immigrated (probably via England) to Henrico County, Virginia before 1687, at which time he married Jane Eyre. He died after August 1698. Their grand- dren changed the spelling of the surname to Fuqua. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Illinois, Georgia, Alabama and elsewhere.
