Ooh, la la! A foreign exchange student named Jean-Claude has come to East High. He’s handsome, friendly . . . and he’s French! Jean-Claude is fascinated by American high school customs—almost as much as all the Wildcats are fascinated by him! Of course, Sharpay vies for his attention, but he’s even got Kelsi's head turning. When Kelsi finds out that Jean-Claude is also a musician, she becomes even more smitten! Will she be able to overcome her shyness—or will her attempts hit a sour note?
Wildcats Over Casablanca, first published in 1943, is a first-hand account by U.S. naval aviators in World War Two's 'Operation Torch' – the November 1942 British-American invasion of French North Africa and their fighting against the Vichy French. The exploits of the airmen, based on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger, and flying their trusted Grumman F4F “Wildcats” are described, as are sorties of the carrier’s bomber and scout squadrons. French battleship Jean Bart, still under construction following the French surrender to Germany, was in the Casablanca Harbor, and sunk as part of the Operation. The Operation was also significant as it was one of the first wartime engagements to use carriers in support of an amphibious landing. During the combat, co-author “Mac” Wordell, who commanded the squadron – known as the “Red Rippers” – was shot down and taken prisoner by the Vichy French, and an interesting perspective is provided of the divided French loyalties prevalent at that time.
The East High seniors are super busy leading up to the last few weeks of school before they graduate. They are volunteering at the local community center for their senior project, and are gearing up for a huge graduation party at the Lava Springs Country Club! And Sharpay couldn't be more excited--she gets to direct a musical for her volunteer assignment! But when her production needs a major overhaul and Taylor and Chad stop speaking, the rest of the Wildcats realize that they need to work together more than ever!
An indie film produced by Sharpay and Ryan's dad is getting rave reviews, so he invites Sharpay, Ryan and their friends to LA for the premiere! Troy, Gabriella, Taylor, and Chad are psyched! What could be better than hanging out at the beach and rubbing elbows with the stars? Meanwhile, Sharpay is ecstatic—her dreams of being discovered are finally going to come true! However, she soon realizes that becoming famous isn't all it's cracked up to be. Will Sharpay get her big break, or will she say goodbye to Hollywood?

John and George Keats—Man of Genius and Man of Power—embodied sibling forms of Romanticism. George’s emigration to the U.S. frontier created an abysm of loneliness and alienation in John that would inspire his most plangent and sublime poetry. Gigante’s account places John’s life in a transatlantic context that has eluded his previous biographers.
