Muscle wasting due to age or disease is a catalyst for disease development in almost any condition. However, today's clinical training therapy has no suitable training methods to enable the majority of physically compromised patients to train in a way that provides the necessary intensity for muscle adaptations. While BFR training could fill a significant gap in this regard, the implementation of a new training technique in clinical practice is accompanied by many challenges.
