He was William Barclay (Baptized Bartholomew) Masterson, known as Bat to his friends and admirers. Bat Masterson became one of the legends of the west, as a buffalo hunter, U.S. Marshal, gambler, Army scout, and even as a fisherman and newspaper sports editor. He was a good friend to other legends of the West such as Wyatt and Virgil Earp, and Luke Short of Dodge City. Although many of his exploits - like most men of the west - are exaggerated, he was a genuine Western hero, long before he became a subject of TV legend. From 1958-1961 Bat Masterson was played by Gene Barry on the television show, and from 1960-1962 Bat even starred in his own comics book, which we bring you here! We're publishing all nine issues of BAT MASTERSON - - you can find them as individual issues, OR as a two-part complete collection if you prefer something bigger, OR find the entire series in the giant giant CLASSIC COMICS LIBRARY #25.
