Reviews for Voices from the Harem If you are the parent of a teenage girl, you should put this book on your must-read list. It is a fascinating but extremely disturbing collection of anecdotes from girls who describe how they wound up in a slave harem. One reviewer said that there was "too much fantasy," but I think she completely missed the point. A number of girls have gone insane and have retreated into fantasy worlds where they feel safe, because they could no longer deal with their real lives locked away forever in a harem. -Carmen F. This was an unexpected treat, because I wasn't sure about what I was getting into. All 111 girls in Prince Ibrahim's Il Giardino Posteriore harem tell their own stories of how they wound up in the harem and what they think about it. Some of them tell really spooky stories about where they had been before, like the girl who used to belong to a guy who flunked out of medical school but bought slaves so he could operate on people anyway. Of course, most of them died, but he got to indulge his desire. Or the one who had been in a mad scientist's laboratory and he would run bizarre experiments on the unfortunate victims there. Touching, moving, heart-breaking stories. - Marie C. This is an excellent book describing the dreary, unrewarding life of Harem Slaves. Their personal stories of how the got there is both riveting and also horrifying. At times it left me shaking my head in bewilderment when some of these women described their feelings towards their en-slaver. A fascinating read even on it's own. -Flavius J. Horribly heartrending. - Jamie R. I cannot believe this still goes on to this day. Gripping, unbelievable but most of all heart breaking. I wish there was more being done to combat this. -Natalie S. Some of the women in the harem are ones that were also ones who were killed at the Rodeo in horrible ways. Some girls were killed after only being in the harem a few months for "poor performance" because they had trouble adjusting to having been kidnapped from their families and country. Prince Ibrahim killed a girl a month, just because he could. Some of the women had gone quietly insane after years of being cooped up in a pretty cage with no way out. -Karbie

New York Times Bestselling Author, HP Mallory, brings you The Sacred Oath Series which will appeal to Reverse Harem, Why Choose readers I don't know who I am or where I came from. The only thing I do know is that I'm running from something. And there's a voice inside my head that guides my every move... When I'm taken prisoner to be thrust into a lifetime of prostitution, I learn I'm an angel. Yes, I bear the markings on my back: markings that reveal my wings have been removed. But when my only ally, a foul-mouthed sprite, insists my wings are intact, I realize the danger I'm facing. I need protection. And that protection can only come from three magically powerful men who were destined to protect the balance between shadow and light: Dragan, a gargoyle and the King of Shadow; Cambion, an elf and the King of Nature; and Baron, a vampire and the King of Death. At one time there were four but Variant, the King of Light, grew greedy and usurped control for himself. He banished Cambion to the Fae Realm and Dragan to the Shadow Realm. And he murdered Baron. And now Variant is after me... --Reverse Harem --Why Choose? --Language warning --Sexual content --Humor Check out the video trailer below! Excerpt from Dragan, the King of Shadow: "If the angel has no wings, there's no amount of my shadow magic that could make them appear," I say. It takes the sprite a moment or two to understand what I'm getting at. Once he does, his eyes go wide and he begins shaking his head, holding up his hands in obvious supplication. "Look, Shadow Prince, I dunno why yer magic ain't workin' but I'm tellin' you what I saw. This angel got her wings," the sprite says, but he appears nervous. "You'll see. Besides, it ain't like yer jist gonna leave her here, are ya?" He glances around and seems to become frightened by his surroundings. The Shadow Realm is hardly safe, littered as it is by bloodthirsty creatures and the undead. Were I to leave the sprite and the girl here alone, they would undoubtedly be killed within a half hour, at most. And even I'm not that horrible...
The story of the green knight who defended Tyre against the besieging army of Saladin is bequeathed to us as a remarkable feat of chivalrous tradition. Sidi Kafir resuscitates this historical legend by making him the last pagan Viking caught up in the turmoil of the Crusades. As a vagrant adventurer looking for new horizons, Ulyssess nordic son is on a personal odyssey in search of love and knightly prowess. Its lessons are so relevant today: the clash of civilisations, alike the original Crusades, tears asunder the harmony amongst peoples by its sterile, warlike confrontation that knows no issue other than mutual distrust and destruction, instead of convivencia, cooperation and mutual respect. The medieval age saw the rebirth of international trade, as during the Roman age, along the silk and spice routes linking the Orient to the Occident. This trade renaissance is a recurrent theme that now dominates the debate on globalisation. Its origins are examined here with the birth of Italian city republics, which created the monetary system at Venice, then the manufacturing base in Tuscany in the Renaissance age. The pursuit of happiness through growing grapevines, imported from Palestine to Europe in the form of the Chardonnay grape, is a legendary legacy to epicurean man.
My three intended mates left me rejected, half-marked, and broken. Every wolf shifter dreams about her first night with her mates, but mine left me an outcast with the revelation that I'm really a hybrid. A hybrid between a wolf and what is the question. Only my late mother knows the answer, but these days, I have other things to worry about. Namely, being caught in a war between my gorgeous jerk of a boss and the hunter who's somehow become my friend with benefits. Until the consequences of my incomplete mating mark leave me in physical anguish each full moon, that is--and the only thing keeping the monster in my veins at bay is the dark gift of a vampire lord who thinks I'm something else entirely. Something that makes me more dangerous than anyone could have imagined--especially me. Like I don't have enough infuriating (but admittedly tantalizing) alpha males on my plate, now the three wolves who threw me away are back, trying to stake their claim now that I'm their only hope of overthrowing my unhinged father as regional alpha. If the men in my life don't make up their minds soon, I'm booking a one-way ticket to an all-female island. Their Rejected Mate is a full-length Rejected Mates Wolf Shifter Romance, and the first in the Luna Rejected series. This series features four alpha male anti-hero love interests, an unbreakable heroine who keeps them in check, and in true Reverse Harem fashion, the MC doesn't have to choose between her guys. Includes MFM and eventual MMF content.
