With the deaths of young Scottish aristocrat David Glen Tannock and world-renowned scientist Dr. Charles Phipps--both members of the elite Cambridge society known as "the Apostles"--barrister-sleuth Sir Patrick Scott suspects that one of the Apostles is murdering his colleagues
From 1866 to 1878, former Rebel cavalry captain Gabriel Kings has been the bane of railroad barons and bankers from Wyoming to Texas. But now, after twelve years on the run, he and the gang of outlaws calling themselves the Avenging Angels of the Shenandoah are about to face the most serious threat of their long and infamous careers--a posse headed by two seasoned Texas Rangers and a pair of cagey Pinkerton detectives. Raising the stakes even higher, an old enemy has set his sights on Kings, and the woman Kings loves--spirited rancher's daughter Belle Jackson--is wearing thin for waiting on him. Can Kings make it through this last scrape in one piece, or has his time finally come?
She rode west looking for vengeance, but found a passion as wild as her heart. With her beautiful face profiled against the hot Missouri sky, Wynne Elliott was every inch a southern lady, but that didn't make the rifle in her hands any less deadly. She had sworn vengeance on the handsome scoundrel who had taken her inheritance and broken her heart. Following him west into a wild, dangerous frontier, she had found a rugged stranger able to take her breath away with the blazing blue of his eyes ... to make her tremble with the searing caress of his lips. But Cole Clayton was the brother of the man who had betrayed her.
Rachel Armstrong has a burning need to right the world’s wrongs. Thus, she becomes the Avenging Angel. And maybe she’s a bit too cocky about it. While riding a hunch about the identity of a kidnapper, she runs into Julien “Cap” Jackson, who was trained by the team at Nightingale Investigations in Denver. Now he’s a full-fledged member at their newly opened Phoenix branch. It takes Cap a beat to realize Raye’s the woman for him. It takes Raye a little longer (but just a little) to figure out how she feels about Cap. As Raye introduces Cap to her crazy posse of found family and his new home in the Valley of the Sun, Cap struggles with his protective streak. Because Raye has no intention to stop doing what she can to save the world. But there’s a mysterious entity out there who has discovered what Raye is up to, and they’ve become very interested. Not to mention, women are going missing in Phoenix, and it seems like the police aren’t taking it seriously. Raye believes someone should. So she recruits her best friend Luna, and between making coffees, mixing cocktails, planning parties and enduring family interventions (along with reunions), the Avenging Angels unite to ride to the rescue.
The summary of this book is very simple and clear cut to me and I hope to make a clear point to all of my readers. There are some very serious and real situations that have become a problem in society today that need to be addressed urgently. First and foremost is Human Trafficking. All of us, my self included, are at risk everyday of the dangers of being abducted and held for ransom, sold, traded or trained and caged like animals for the pleasure and enjoyment of others who find themselves above the law. Those individuals, who believe it is ok to steal, trade and/ or sell Human Life, as though its some kind of commodity. Another major issue we face in society today is what some call polygamy, which I myself consider multi-partner marriages. Polygamy is the vulgar and accurate term for the sick individuals who hypnotize others into false and unscrupulous acts of lifestyle. On the other hand, Multi-partner marriages are in a category of there own, completely different than how some men in this country choose to act and distort the true meaning of marriage and being the head of a household. Accompany me into the true definition of real love and affection for others, along with the dramatized effects of what vigilante Justice will change and possibly stop entirely if taken into the hands of those affected by the very unusual and cruel acts of human behavior. Eye 4 won refuse to stand by and watch it continue to happen in society around me. While the true predators distort and tangle the real meaning of true compassion. This is not what God intended us to do to less aggressive or more vulnerable people in the world for our own financial, personal or political gain. Join me in my journey to bring awareness to the public about the problems at hand and help put a stop to our loved ones falling victim to the predators at large today. Along side finding those missing today from our lives we once shared and continue to hold so close to our hearts in hopes of their eventual safe return.
Avenging Angel by R. Chauncey Revenge can be stealth, but it can never be concealed. Eternally tied to his wheelchair-this is what has become of Derrick Whittier after being shot by a street drug dealer twenty years ago. Since then, he has been deprived of many things: the ability to walk, to see life positively, and to have an erection. But he still has something that can never be taken from him-he's still the number one genius in computer science the world over. The death of four drug lords and their bodyguards alarmed Sand Vale one morning. Detective Lee and his assistant, Shannon, set out to find the killer-someone with superhuman abilities. But it's not the normal murder case they have handled in the past; they were playing with a god and his creation. Avenging Angel, by R. Chauncey, leads readers to twisty discoveries in finding a murderer in a computer-dominated world. About the Author R. Chauncey was born in Chicago, Illinois, and worked as a history teacher in high school. Now retired, he enjoys writing stories as well as reading about history.
Three years ago I met a woman, one I was instantly attracted to. Problem was, I was interviewing her for a teaching position at our school. I backed off. My best friend, the man who was like a brother to me took one look at her... and called dibs. Prick. He was not one to date, so I backed off. I watched as she turned out to be a spy, and his soul mate. I sat back and watched each of my brothers pair off. I knew that would never happen to me, because the only woman I ever entertained the idea of more with, was now my sister. That is, until I met my Avenging Angel. The tiniest and most dangerous woman you would ever meet. She was on a mission, a mission to avenge the death of her sister. Her target - the person who had called a war on our family. The person who was attacking my family when we should have been safe. The person who was now targeting our school. Avenging Angel is the last official book in The Cooper Family Chronicles. As always, it can be read as a standalone, or within the series. The Cooper Family make appearances in many of my other books. So they are never far away. This book may contain triggers and is not meant to be read by those under the age of 18.
Woodbury County Prosecutor Hillary Reed believes all things are possible with God - including putting her together with an unlikely significant other, Sioux City Sentinel-Leader reporter Tom Kingman. But when a killer named Gabrielle starts sending Tom handwritten notes claiming to be God's avenging angel, Hillary concurs with Tom's assessment: "It's more likely Gabrielle has been dropping acid while reading Leviticus" than getting divine direction to slash some throats.Meanwhile, Hillary faces professional challenges, including a nagging feeling that she's prosecuting the wrong man for murder. When Gabrielle starts to show a personal interest in Tom, pressure from Tom's pious stalker and Hillary's high-profile court case builds until it triggers a bombshell revelation that could blow Tom and Hillary apart.
