Excerpt from Annual Reports and Proceedings of the Belfast Naturalists' Field Club, Vol. 6: 1907-08 Till 1912-13 During the year 51 new members were elected, Of whom 46 qualified by paying their fees. There were 7 deaths and 18 resignations. On the rst April, 1907, the membership was 418; on the corresponding date this year it was 439, leaving a nett increase of 21 members. Two new Sections, the Archaeological and Zoological, were formed at the beginning of the Session and, with those Of the Botanical and Geological, have proved very successful. The several Sections have held a large number Of meetings during the Winter, at which some valuable papers have been read, many Of these papers being the result of original research. The amount Of interest created and the attendance at these meetings has been very gratifying to the Committee, who look forward to really valuable work being done in the future. The Committee have also to report the very much improved attendance at the Monthly meetings. Eight Committee meetings have been held during the year, at which the average attendance was 12 out of a possible 15.
