John Sevier became a leading member of the new westward movement and in 1784 petitioned Congress to create the State of Franklin out of property in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee.
John Hansard was born in 1766, and married Caroline Rucker in 1793, and Judith Cashwell. He died in 1826. Includes Vandergriff, Warwick and related families.
