The first recorded Vivian is Ralph, who, in 1213, married Isabella, the daughter of William Bodrigan and the widow of William Boleigh. The Vivian families lived in Trevedran (Cornwall) for two hundred years until 1427, when the family moved to Trelowarren. Later descendants also lived in Swansea, Wales. Both brances of Vivians were quite prominent citizens. Also discusses Vivians who left for America, Australia, and New Zealand.
