Can Money, power and laws change the way man may live his life because he has the ability to perceive what is right or wrong for himself base on his perception of what he may see or hear? Can America, a nation built on the principals of freedom and justice for all, collapse because the people feel their freedoms have become controlled by their lawmakers that impose laws upon them that are beyond their ability of understanding there meaning or existence, who is right or wrong. Is it just ones perception that this nation has changed its values on the way we live today? Is America exempt from what other nations have faced in the past and today because the people were not heard, based on history? Can communications in a form of understanding change a negative perception? Working together we can Make A Difference. It’s your life.
Can money, power and laws change the direction of why man may choose the way he lives his life, right or wrong? Ever wonder what it feels like when you feel your freedom may be controlled by money, power and laws? I was inspired to write my perception about these characteristics and its relationship to our nation’s history. I am going to share with you in this book what it feels like to others and me on the way we live our lives today. Was man inspired by God to communicate the past and future events that will impact our lives?
Can perception change the way you may live your life or possibly affect others? Money, power and laws will affect your life. Is it just man’s choices that he makes in life that will cause him to feel he is losing his freedom? This is America the land of the free. Who am I, and who are you? Do we take for granted that we are free because we have no clear understanding of its true meaning? There will always be a price to pay for your freedom. Unfortunately we do not look at the cost of the young men and woman sacrificing their lives for that freedom today. Today we seem to find reasons to justify why those freedoms are being removed. Let me assure you as a citizen of this great nation you are free. It’s not about Money, power and laws, it’s about your choices in life that’s going to set you free. Throughout my life I never thought about losing my freedom, it was my choices that I was concerned about. I was free to make those choices. America it’s your life live it.
Chris Hedges’s profound and unsettling examination of America in crisis is “an exceedingly…provocative book, certain to arouse controversy, but offering a point of view that needs to be heard” (Booklist), about how bitter hopelessness and malaise have resulted in a culture of sadism and hate. America, says Pulitzer Prize–winning reporter Chris Hedges, is convulsed by an array of pathologies that have arisen out of profound hopelessness, a bitter despair, and a civil society that has ceased to function. The opioid crisis; the retreat into gambling to cope with economic distress; the pornification of culture; the rise of magical thinking; the celebration of sadism, hate, and plagues of suicides are the physical manifestations of a society that is being ravaged by corporate pillage and a failed democracy. As our society unravels, we also face global upheaval caused by catastrophic climate change. All these ills presage a frightening reconfiguration of the nation and the planet. Donald Trump rode this disenchantment to power. In his “forceful and direct” (Publishers Weekly) America: The Farewell Tour, Hedges argues that neither political party, now captured by corporate power, addresses the systemic problem. Until our corporate coup d’état is reversed these diseases will grow and ravage the country. “With sharply observed detail, Hedges writes a requiem for the American dream” (Kirkus Reviews) and seeks to jolt us out of our complacency while there is still time.
Contains color and black and white photographs taken over a twenty-four hour period in the United States.
A collection of thirty heartfelt, witty, and hopeful thought pieces “that highlights the humanity and multitudes of being Asian American” (Kirkus Reviews, starred), for fans of Minor Feelings. There are 23 million people, representing more than twenty countries, each with unique languages, histories, and cultures, clumped under one banner: Asian American. Though their experiences are individual, certain commonalities appear. -The pressure to perform and the weight of the model minority myth. -The proximity to whiteness (for many) and the resulting privileges. -The desexualizing, exoticizing, and fetishizing of their bodies. -The microaggressions. -The erasure and overt racism. Through a series of essays, poems, and comics, thirty creators give voice to moments that defined them and shed light on the immense diversity and complexity of the Asian American identity. Edited by CAPE and with an introduction by renowned journalist SuChin Pak, My Life: Growing Up Asian in America is a celebration of community, a call to action, and “a vital record of the Asian American experience” (Publishers Weekly). It’s the perfect gift for any occasion. Featuring contributions from bestselling authors Melissa de la Cruz, Marie Lu, and Tanaïs; journalists Amna Nawaz, Edmund Lee, and Aisha Sultan; TV and film writers Teresa Hsiao, Heather Jeng Bladt, and Nathan Ramos-Park; and industry leaders Ellen K. Pao and Aneesh Raman, among many more.

All of my life I have been interested in helping people and animals. I am setting up a healing centre with a difference for people and animals alike where everyone will be welcome. I have taken many courses and attended various seminars to help me with this. I have dealt with tragedies in my own life and they have only made me stronger. I have always turned a negative into a positive. By writing this book I hope to help others to lessen their burdens by having a distinguished mindset, enjoying their lives and consequently making our world a better place for all. I have studied life coaching, nutrition and natural healing people can learn there is a balance and choice to conventional medicines. I hope this book helps people navigate through life successfully. We all have a choice, to make life work for us, or to work for life. I hope you enjoy my book.

The definitive chronicle of underground music in the 1980s tells the stories of Black Flag, Sonic Youth, The Replacements, and other seminal bands whose DIY revolution changed American music forever. Our Band Could Be Your Life is the never-before-told story of the musical revolution that happened right under the nose of the Reagan Eighties -- when a small but sprawling network of bands, labels, fanzines, radio stations, and other subversives re-energized American rock with punk's do-it-yourself credo and created music that was deeply personal, often brilliant, always challenging, and immensely influential. This sweeping chronicle of music, politics, drugs, fear, loathing, and faith is an indie rock classic in its own right. The bands profiled include: Sonic Youth Black Flag The Replacements Minutemen Husker Du Minor Threat Mission of Burma Butthole Surfers Big Black Fugazi Mudhoney Beat Happening Dinosaur Jr.
