Data networking now plays a major role in everyday life and new applications continue to appear at a blinding pace. Yet we still do not have a sound foundation for designing, evaluating and managing these networks. This book covers topics at the intersection of algorithms and networking. It builds a complete picture of the current state of research on Next Generation Networks and the challenges for the years ahead. Particular focus is given to evolving research initiatives and the architecture they propose and implications for networking. Topics: Network design and provisioning, hardware issues, layer-3 algorithms and MPLS, BGP and Inter AS routing, packet processing for routing, security and network management, load balancing, oblivious routing and stochastic algorithms, network coding for multicast, overlay routing for P2P networking and content delivery. This timely volume will be of interest to a broad readership from graduate students to researchers looking to survey recent research its open questions.

This book proposes the novel network envisions and framework design principles, in order to systematically expound the next generation vehicular networks, including the modelling, algorithms and practical applications. It focuses on the key enabling technologies to design the next generation vehicular networks with various vehicular services to realize the safe, convenient and comfortable driving. The next generation vehicular networks has emerged to provide services with a high quality of experience (QoE) to vehicles, where both better network maintainability and sustainability can be obtained than before. The framework design principles and related network architecture are also covered in this book. Then, the series of research topics are discussed including the reputation based content centric delivery, the contract based mobile edge caching, the Stackelberg game model based computation offloading, the auction game based secure computation offloading, the bargain game based security protection and the deep learning based autonomous driving. Finally, the investigation, development and future works are also introduced for designing the next generation vehicular networks. The primary audience for this book are researchers, who work in computer science and electronic engineering. Professionals working in the field of mobile networks and communications, as well as engineers and technical staff who work on the development or the standard of computer networks will also find this book useful as a reference.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th Asia-Pacific Network Operations and Management Symposium, APNOMS 2007, held in Sapporo, Japan, October 2007. The 48 revised full papers and 30 revised short papers cover management of distributed networks, network configuration and planning, network security management, sensor and ad-hoc networks, network monitoring, routing and traffic engineering, management of wireless networks and security on wireless networks.
th We are delighted to present the proceedings of the 11 Asia-Paci?c Network Operations and Management Symposium (APNOMS 2008) which was held in Beijing, China, during October 22–24, 2008. TheOrganizingCommittee(OC)selectedthethemeofthisyear’ssymposium as “Challenges for Next-Generation Network Operations and Service Mana- ment. ” Research and development on next-generation networks (NGNs) have been carried out over the last few years and we are already seeing their - ployment and operations in many parts of Asia-Paci?c countries. We are also beginning to experience new and interesting services that utilize these NGNs. We are certain that we will see more deployment of NGNs and NGN services in the next few years. Thus, the operations and management of NGNs and their services are very important to the network operators and service providers. At the same time, they are also concerned about new and more e?ective ways of performing the operations and management. This year, the APNOMS call for papers received 195 paper submissions from 19di?erentcountries,includingcountriesoutsidetheAsia-Paci?cregion(Europe, Middle-East, North and South America). Each paper was carefully reviewed by at least three international experts. Based on review scores, the APNOMS 2008 Technical ProgramCommittee discussed the selection of papers, and selected 43 high-quality papers (22. 1% of submissions) as full papers and 34 papers as short papers. Accepted papers were arrangedinto ten technical sessions and two short paper sessions (poster presentation).
"This book presents state-of-the-art research, developments, and integration activities in combined platforms of heterogeneous wireless networks"--Provided by publisher.
The book comprises selected papers presented at the International Conference on Wireless Communication (ICWiCOM), which is organized by D. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering’s Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The book focuses on specific topics of wireless communication, like signal and image processing applicable to wireless domains, networking, microwave and antenna design, and telemedicine systems. Covering three main areas – networking, antenna designs and embedded systems applicable to communication – it is a valuable resource for postgraduate and doctoral students.
With the rise of mobile and wireless technologies, more sustainable networks are necessary to support communication. These next-generation networks can now be utilized to extend the growing era of the Internet of Things. Enabling Technologies and Architectures for Next-Generation Networking Capabilities is an essential reference source that explores the latest research and trends in large-scale 5G technologies deployment, software-defined networking, and other emerging network technologies. Featuring research on topics such as data management, heterogeneous networks, and spectrum sensing, this book is ideally designed for computer engineers, technology developers, network administrators and researchers, professionals, and graduate-level students seeking coverage on current and future network technologies.
